if you have hot water at the taps but the heating isn't working make sure the thermostat is set high enough for the boiler to run check the time clock settings are on.
if these are working it could be a faulty diverter valve switch not sending a signal to the boiler to run.

This happened to me and it was a rubber pipe inside had perished so it was detecting a loss of pressure. You can see it if you take the main cover off and also the front clipped on cover. Its at the top on the right. You need to replace it with heatproof pipe. Good luck!

Hi clean pilot light and change the thermocouple , you will have to remove the gasfire to get to the boiler if unsure best get a gas fitter to do this as this is not easy to explaine , simple job but you have to know what you are doing , it might be you need a service on the bbu and the gasfire then the thermocouple could be done at this time.
