My steam oven is stuck requesting a descale and will do nothing else. The descale appears to start for a few minutes and the clock times down, but then it asks for water and descaler again and resets the clock. I cannot exit the mode.

Press and hold the timer button (the bell picture), and whilst doing that press and hold the power button. Then let go of both at the same time. Then press the timer button 5 more times, but on the fifth time hold for a few seconds. Once in Programming mode play with the options to reset and restart descaling.

Put the tablet into the steam generator with about 1ltr of cold water, select the cleaning cycle on your oven. let it go through the cycle.
