Question about HP D8597A Keyboard
My HP laptop space key sticks. How do I solve this?
You can remove it and clean it out, or find out if the spring is broken. You have to be careful though, there are some small parts and if you lose them, then its game over for your space bar.
You will want to use a flat head screw driver, or if you have long nails, you can use them to pry each side gently. It may reqire a little bit of force, but be sure that you have control over your hands motion or you could snap it or bend it.
It may just be dirty, you can use a damp cloth to remove any grime, but just be sure not to let a single drop get into the circuitry.
Once you need to put it back, normally you can just snap each end back on to the levars but be sure it is lined up correctly or else the little plastic clips may break. If there is something wrong with the levars or the latchs, then you may need to replace them. Let us know and we might be able to help further.
