Your gas valve coils may be weak. They look like 2 black small things on top of the gas valve. But before we assume that, is you venting clear? Does you dryer vent out throught the side of the the house? If so, check the air flow comming out. If there is no air flow or very little are flow i would look into to it to make sure there is no lint build up blocking the air flow. When this happens, the heated air backs up to the dryer and shuts of on limit. But if this checks out ok, then i would look into changing the gas valve coils. But if you do change them, one of them have a metal sleev that goes on the gas valve. CHeck the inside of the old ones and make sure you dont throw that away, if its in there, try to take it out and slip it back on the gas valve. BUt you have to have that metal sleeve so dont forget to check for it..hope this helps

Check out your venting. If the dryer vents out the side of the house, go take a lookat it and check for any lint build up. If you see lint build up then clean and try out the dryer again. Make sure you have go air flow comming out. If you dont, then i would look into cleaning the dryer vent from the inside all the way to where it vents out. If you have good airflow, and there is no lint build up, i would look into changing your gas valve coils. They are mounted on top of the gas valve. They are colored black and held on by a late. They may be weak and not holding the gas valve open. If you change them, change them the same way you take them out but one of them have might have a metal sleeve that comes off with them. Check the inside of them to make sure the metal sleeve didnt come off the gas valve shaft where the coils slide onto. You will need that sleeve and must be put back onto the shaft the coil came off from. remember not to forget which one it came off from. Sometimes the sleeve will stay on the shaft but there are times where it comes off with the coil. check the insides before you throw the old ones away. but dont throw that sleeve out. hope this helps

Most likely your gas valve coils kit. If the ignitor glows but doesn't light a flame.

My affinity electric dryer shuts off after a few minutes, isn't heating, and blinks EA4

That means that the ignitor is most likely failing to start the process to ignite the gas. The ignitor is like a light bulb and can burn out.
Here is a link to the information about that: http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/questions/289969-frigidaire-model-faqg7077ka-error-code-e4a-heat

Gas does not come on for oven to light

im assuming that your cook top works fine and that the broil is working fine. You need to replace the oven ignitor. The automatic gas valve is equipped with a sensor that opens the valve. if the ignitor doesn't heat up the sensor, then the valve will not open. replacing your ignitor should solve the problem.

Turns on but. Will not heat upb

The areas that come to mind is the ignitor and/or sensor has gone bad The most unlikely is the gas valve but it is a possibility. I check for a thermal fuse on your model It does not come with one. That eliminated another cause.

Attached is a picture for reference.

When the dryer is turned on, the ignitor ( #74) will start to glow and in a few seconds to a bright orange color. The sensor ( #79) which is located on the outside of the flame tube, detects the heat intensity from the ignitor. Once the ignitor has reached its limit when operating correctly, the sensor will give a signal for the gas valve to open and release gas through the burner where the ignitor will light the gas. This process repeats several times when drying a load.

Defective ignitors will either have no glow or the will glow a little bit.

Hope this helps you out.
Always you caution when working on appliances.

Igniter comes on but gas won't light

It should glow almost a bright white. If its just an orange glow then replace the ignitor. Its probably just weak. If its weak it will not allow enough current to flow through it to open the gas valve. Good luck _MJ_

I have a frigidaire gas stove model #FGF337AWJ.

I went through that once and believe it or not it was the ignitor. Instead of a thermocouple these new ovens use the amount of current going through the ignitor to prove the flame. Seems like after it gets ot a certain temperature the amps drop off enough to cut out the flame and then it will try to recycle. If it is not that it would be the thermostat but they very seldom go bad. I would reolace the ignitor first I think it will solve your problem.

Oven burner will not light. Ignitor is orange hot.

When ignitor gets worn it will come on but not get hot enough to open the gas valve. Very rarely the valve fails.

Frigidaire Model EGF337Ecc oven not heating. element is bright orange you smell the gas but burner does not come on

If the ignitor is weak, it will not open the safety valve. It WILL however glow, but it's not strong enough to release the gas. The ignitor should pull at least 3 amps, any less, it won't open the safety valve for gas to flow. Repl. the ignitor, it should be fine.

Gas dryer won't heat up

The ignitor can glow and still be defective.
Take a volt meter and check for power at the gas valve while calling for heat.
If you have voltage, replace the coils again.
No voltage, replace the ignitor and flame sensor.

Oven heating element works but gas wil not ignight

the oven ignitor has to consume 3.2 to 3.6 amps in order for the oven valve to open. The valve is a bi-metal valve; which means the proper amount of current must be drawn through the valve to warp the bi-metal and allow gas flow. Oven ignitors will glow bright but only pull around 2.8 amps, not enough to open the valve. In most cases this is the scenario. The only way to determine which is bad(ignitor or valve) is to check the amp draw of the ignitor using a clamp on meter. If the ignitor is flat in appearance it must pull 3.2 to 3.6 amps, if the ignitor is round it must pull 2.5 amps. Being a kenmore stove it could be built by frigidaire or many others for that matter, the model # indicates this, so be sure to check the amp draw if possible.I have seen many Frigidaire oven valves bad. However, 9 times out of 10 the ignitor is bad. If your model begins with 790. its a frigidaire, 362. its a roper/ge, 665. its a whirlpool built, 911. its a roper, etc. hope this helps...
