A solution to a problem is a solution. All you did was avoid the issue. Who cares if it is released or unreleased? In the future if you have no solution for an individuals problem then post nothing.

    That being said.....

Boot your computer into safe mode by pressing F8 repeatedly during boot and see if your monitor works there. If it works there then it is probably a driver issue between windows 7 and your video card.

Now let me get this quite correct so I don't cqll you an idiot or anything else.

You are posting for a solution to a problem for a system that has not been released to the public yet, and what solutions for it. You are using an RC version that was released to developers for testing purposes or an RTM with RC activation and expect to have problems solved.

RC= Release Candidate sent to devlopers to iron out any bugs

RTM = Release To Manufacturer for them to test their sortware and driver compatability.

Now forgive me for the following but if you fit any of the 2 catagories above then you are an idiot .

If you fit neither of themvhten why are you complaining about a system not released to the General public???

Can you understand where I'm coming from?

Soyo monitor MT-NI-DYLM1998 "out of range."

Your windows 7 screen resolution is set too high and your display doesn't support it. There are 3 possible solutions to this problem:
1. Press F8 during startup and choose "Enable row-resolution video"
2. Press F8 during startup and choose "Safe mode" and change screen resolution there, then reboot.
3. You can always use another display (if you have one) to set screen resolution to lower value.

Norcent Technologies LM173SB 17 in. Flat Panel LCD Monitor Won't work with Windows 7

I ran into this very problem myself, the issue is that the monitor only supports 1280x1024 resolution MAX. Windows 7 cannot detect this monitor and so it does not know it is limited to this resolution, so Windows 7 is putting out a higher resolution at startup, thus the monitor tries to autodect for a second but then just goes blank because it doesn't understand (and can't display) the signal. The only solution is to use another monitor and adjust the resolution to 1280x1024 or lower, but I run into a problem where as soon as you remove the other monitor and restart, WIndows tries to "plug & play" the monitor all over again at startup. So you're best bet really is a newer monitor unfortunately, I only use my old Norcent monitor with my XP computer.

Windows 7 does not recognize my dual monitor video card

It doesn't appear that this card will work with Vista or Windows 7 as Jaton, never wrote the drivers for it. You could try downloading nVIDIA GeForce4™ MX4000 drivers but no guarantee.

Have LG W2343 monitor. Just purchased a new HP computer which has Windows 7, but having trouble with the size resolution on my screen. Monitor worked fine on my old HP computer which had Windows XP

You have to look hereto see if it is compatible with Windows 7,
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Browse.aspx?type=Hardware&category=Displays&subcategory=LCD&showallcats=true&v=LG%20ELECTRONICS

Otherwise you will need Windows 7 driver from LG if they have one.
Most monitors works fine without the need of the drivers when running XP, but Windows 7 you need the correct drivers to get the correct resolution setting, that is one of the reason I do not care much for Windows 7 until they fix this problem, since a lot of people out there that still have great working monitors that work just fine with XP, most manufacturers do not provide drivers for Windows 7 for old monitors because they want you to buy new monitors.

Windows 7 will not allow me to pick 1680x1050 for the resolution. It defaults to a lower resolution with no option to take it higher.

Go to Windows 7 web site and check the equipment compatability list for your monitor.

If it is there - read the particulars

If it is not, complain to the monitor manufacturer - ask them to create a driver for this model.

I hope this helps you
