My camera won't turn on

I have a Kodak CX7530 digital camera and it won't turn on anymore. When I tried turning it on, this red light kept flashing even when i put in new batteries. Recently, it sort of got banged around in my bad and the review button stopped working and sometimes it would turn off by itself but I was still able to take pictures and what not.

Well theres yoiur answer. If you have banged it or dropped it you have possibly cracked the motherboard inside. Sometimes these work intermittently with rthis type of misuse. other timjes it just stops. Cheaper to buy a new one than muck around getting it fixed

Digital Camera Battery Prloblem

Hey Frustrated47,
According to the manufacturer a glowing red light either means your memory card is full, or your memory card is set to read only. I would try uploading your images to you computer using a card reader, and if this doesn't work I would make sure that the SD card is not set to the locked position. If neither of these options works I would try cleaning the battery contacts. If none of this works I would have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Kodak Easyshare CX7530 won't stay powered on

SOLUTION: Fot the past two years, fully charged NiMH and new alkaline (generic and fresh Name Brand batteries) in my CX7530 always gave a red light and immediate power off -- symptoms of low batteries. Today I tried it again with the same problem. This time, I folded up a small piece of stiff paper to depress the small Lithium battery module detect switch in the battery compartment, and put my NiMH batteries back in -- it WORKED for the first time in two years! After removing the paper and reinserting the batteries, it still works. I suspect this somehow recalibrates the low battery detect circuit. I hope it helps you as well.
