Tried what you suggested but it says that there are no documents stored. What else can I try.

  • hestrach Jul 31, 2009

Tried your suggestions. When I unplugged power, tel. line, usb and then turned on, off and on again. In Use/memory light goes out when I unplug the usb but goes right back on when I plug usb in.

  • hestrach Aug 01, 2009

    the light is blinking.

  • hestrach Aug 01, 2009

Tried your last suggestion. Plugged usb back in and the light is blinking again. When I tried to print a page, the printer status says it is "collecting printer status".

Document isn't printing. I can only use the machine to make copies. Nothing else seems to work.

If you clear the memory, all faxes stored in memory will be removed. If this is what you want to do, please do the following:

  1. Press [FAX], then press [Menu].
  2. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] to select <MEMORY REFERENCE>.
  3. Press [OK].
  4. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] to select <DELETE DOCUMENT>.
  5. Press [OK].
  6. Use [LEFT] or [RIGHT] to select <ALL PRINTED DOCS.>
  7. Press [LEFT].
  8. The memory has been cleared. To finish, press [Stop/Reset].
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Kind regards

OK there may be two more solutions you can try. Let me know if they help. Please attempt them in the following order:

    Solution 1:

    1. Disconnect the interface (parallel or USB) cable from the device.

    2. Disconnect the telephone line cord from the device.

    3. Disconnect the power cord (also referred to as adapter) from the device.

    4. Shut down the computer.

    5. Wait for approximately ten seconds and then reconnect the power cord.

    6. Once the device has powered back on, press to confirm the device will power off.

    7. If the device powers off, press to power the device back on.

    8. Reconnect the USB cable and telephone line cord to the device.

    9. Turn on the computer.

    Solution 2:

    1. Connect a line cord from the telephone wall jack to the [L] jack on the device. The [L] jack is indicated in the magnified view by the red arrow.

    2. Connect a line cord from the extension telephone port on the device to an external telephone, answering machine or computer modem. The extension telephone port is indicated in the magnified view by the blue arrow.

Does the light stay on, or is it blinking?

  • Anonymous Aug 01, 2009

OK please try the following as it sounds like the computer is sending a "busy" signal to the printer.

    1. Ensure the printer is turned on

    2. Unplug only the USB cable from the printer

    3. Shutdown your computer

    4. Turn on the computer and login

    5. Re-plug the USB cable

    Is the light now gone?

If not, please print a test page (print anything from your computer). After the printout, has the light gone?

Thank you. It seems to me the driver for the printer has locked up and is not communicating with the printer.

Please go to Start > Control Panel, look for Printers (or similar), and find the Canon printer icon. Once found, right-click on its icon and choose to Delete the printer.

Then, download the latest driver here:

    • For Windows XP, click here to download

    • For Windows Vista, click here to download

Once downloaded, install the driver. Restart your computer if prompted.

Check that the problem is gone. If the problem persists, and the same light continues to flash, what does the LCD display on the printer itself say when this is happening?

The fax machine may be in secure receiving mode. The following is from the User's Manual section on Faxing. downloadcenter samsung com

Receiving in secure receiving mode

You may need to prevent your received faxes from being accessed by unauthorized people. You can turn on secure receiving mode to restrict printing of received faxes when the machine is unattended. In secure receiving mode, all incoming faxes go into memory. When the mode is deactivated, any stored faxes are printed.

Activating secure receiving mode

  1. Press btn_fax.png(Fax) on the control panel.

  2. Press Menu until Advanced Fax appear.

  3. Press the left/right arrow until Secure Receive appear and press OK.

  4. Press the left/right arrow until On appear and press OK.

  5. Enter a four-digit password you want to use and press OK.

You can activate secure receiving mode without setting a password, but cannot protect your faxes.

  6. Re-enter the password to confirm it and press OK.

  7. Press Stop/Clear to return to ready mode.

When a fax is received in secure receiving mode, your machine stores it in memory and shows Secure Receive to let you know that there is a fax received.

  1. Access the Secure Receive menu by following steps 1 through 3 in "Activating secure receiving mode."

  2. Press the left/right arrow until Print appear and press OK.

  3. Enter the four-digit password and press OK.

How do i clear the fax memory? i can only send a few pages at a time without the fax not working and i think it's because the memory is full

most fax machines will show receiving memory left or transmit memory left, if it showing receiving memory full make sure there are no paper jams and there is lots of paper in paper cassettes and it will start to print all the faxes in memory... if its transmit memory, you will need to clear those documents in memory to be sent, probably waiting in que....

HP6110 All in one

When the HP Office jet series all-in-one front panel screen displays Memory Full, the HP Office jet all-in-one is not able to send, receive or forward faxes. Copying will also not work. WORKAROUND: Though the memory buffer should clear itself automatically after proceeding with the next task, like receiving a fax or starting a copy job, these suggestions below may help you clearing the memory buffer by:
  • Add paper to the HP Officejet series paper tray
  • Clear a possible print jam and proceed printing the fax.
  • Reduce the copying or faxing resolution via the front panel's menu.
  • Use the HP Manager to send a (group) fax or making a copy. More memory is available this way, as the HP Manager utilizes the PC memory. When sending a group fax, the HP Officejet all-in-one's memory is filled to capacity. To copy in color is only possible from the HP Officejet Manager.
  • Press START to clear the message. If this message persists, unplug the power cord, and after at least 15 seconds plug the power cord in.
CAUSE: The HP Officejet series memory may be full due to: Copying on Photo quality or sending a group dial, which will use an extensive part of the internal memory's capacity. No paper in the paper supply tray, while receiving a fax. This may result that the data remains in the buffer. Print jam while receiving a fax or copying. The data is still stored in the buffer. System error displayed on the HP Officejet display window. SUMMARY: The HP Officejet series will not fax or copy without sufficient memory to store the data of the page in the buffer before printing the receiving fax or the copy.

Received fax's are not printing. Unit prints confermations and is working as a printer but recieved fax's just park in memory and will not print.

TYPICALLY A FAX MACHINE WILL RECEIVE MESSAGE IN MEMORY WHEN NO PAPER OR TONER/INK FINISHED INDICATION IS THERE, REPLENISH THESE SUPPLIES WITH GENUINE ONES AND FAX WILL START PRINTING. IF PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED , PLEASE TRY TO CLEAR THE SETTING FOR MEMORY RECEIVING, IF STILL NOT SOLVED TRY BRINGING THE MACHINBE TO FACTROY SET SETTING BY CLEARING THE MEMORY. HAPPY FAXING OMNIPRESENT
