SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: I just bought a house

  1. purchase a coin insert and blank the slot that coins fit in, then the slide will slid in without coins, just acting like a button, if you examine the slide you wil notice that there are plastic inserts in unused coin slots, any maytag commercial dealer has them.
  2. replace coin slide with 'free operation' converter, which is just a button plate that pushes the striker on the timer switch
  3. take top cover off and just push the striker on the timer, (this is NOT) a recommended option, 220v is enough to spoil you whole day)

SOURCE: coin operated machines: slide mechanism is not moving back.

I had a coin washer and dryer. The slider has little fingers(metal)that slide over the coins. If the coin isn't placed and the slider is pushed hard will jam. Mine had a side cover with a lock. Open that and there is a long rod that has to be unscrewed to remove the lock box, then you should is what went wrong.Hope this helps>

SOURCE: I have a Whirlpool coin operated top load washing

I hate this
try insert another coin
if not you will have to run a wire through and a frictioned and magnetised coin might help
if you can you will have to dismantle this part in trying to release it

SOURCE: change the number of coins to operate

you need to take the coin slot apart take pictures as you go to put back together the parts to change amount are hidden inside it in hidden compartment if they wheren't removed by some one. your machine didn't come with the coin mech so if you don't have the parts you will need to take it with you to the parts house to get right parts. open the top of the coin mech box there are 2 long rod screws holding it in place usually 5/16 inch wrench fits may need to wiggle the heck out of it to get it out

Whirlpool self-cleaning oven: RBD275PDB14 . . . I DO NOT want it to self-clean. Is there any way to DISABLE the self-cleaning feature?

Just don't use it. The finish in the oven is made to work with the self-cleaning operation; it naturally facilitates burn-off at high temperatures. It is normally impractical to remove and replace the finish, besides, it's harmless as far as I know. If you are worried about someone accidentally activating self-clean, you could tape a coin over the self-clean button. (If you have a curious child in mind, the coin may actually draw attention to the button and invite its operation - you know better than I who or what you are dealing with.)

There is no good way to disable the self-cleaning function without replacing the controller with a custom-built and programmed unit. The button is in a matrix with other buttons, so attempts to disconnect it would disable other buttons and generate a controller error that would prevent the range from operating.

I recommend very highly you go to a local coin shop and have the coin checked. There was a 1 Dollar coin minted at one time, very long ago, and it could be worth upwards of $10,000 or more if the coin is real. The coin must be validated and if validated you can then choose to pay for rating. Rating is very important and because of the many grades of rating used for coins it is very important to have validated coins rated by a professional. As an example, a coin rated MS 64 grade is worth $5000 where a coin rated MS 65 grade may be worth $20,000 or more. That is how particular he coin market is with old coins. I am not saying that coin is worth a great deal or money. I am saying it COULD be worth a lot of money and without any other reference there is or pictures there is no way I could even come close to giving you a value, nor could anyone else. At best we would be guessing. In most cases the coin store will verify the coin is real for free but want to charge to have the coin rated. It is well worth the fee for rating, trust an old coin collector. Have fun.

Disable coin vendor

It is easy to do... Just take the cover's off that will expose where the coin op wire is pluged into the copier. It is a 4 wire clip, I believe. Turn the copier Off and cut the wire on the coin op side and strip the wires. Of the wire's that are there you only need to have two of the wires jumed togather.to make the copier to work. I don't know how many wires are there they may have 2 or 6 or 10, it depends who made it. If you are lucky they may have left the jumper clip in the copier, just connect it again. If not jump two wires and turn copier ON and see it the display is un-locked. If not try another set. It is trial and error. You should be able to fix it. Good Luck

look on the control board. there's some DIP switches. these are set according to the number of coins needed to run the machine. the coin acceptor reads the number of coins going through it and advances the control board one increment for each "good" coin. objectionable coins are rejected.
