Question about Intex 15' X 42" Easy Set Pool Complete Pool Set

1 Answer

I have an Intex 15' x 42" Easy Set pool. I bought chlorine tablets for it, and thought I could put them into the skimmer basket. Now I'm not so sure, and I can't get the DVD to play, and I've lost the manual. Can you tell me how I should introduce the tablets into the water? Thank you.

Buy an inexpensive floater for in the water and put them in there. Putting them in the skimmer will just shorten the life of a pump that will already struggle to give you 3 years of service.

How do I get rid of frogs in swimming pool

Shock and more chlorine. Frogs don't like chlorine. We have many here in Florida, and I rarely get them in my pool. Dump a couple gallons of liquid chlorine in to shock, then just keep your tablets in a floater or skimmer basket and check chlorine level often.

I can't get surface skimmer to work

im not sure what or even how you mean "swims away" as properly intalled it has a bracket that holds to pool wall , no the most problem ive seen with these is they sink !! pulling it and bracket right to bottom , this is just an adjustment of water flow thru float skimmer vs side skimmer (normal)

How do you bleed the lines to the pump?

I usually run a water hose down the skimmer basket drain for a while until water is returning to the pool through the pump. I hope this helps.

Low flow indicator on saltwater pool filter

If your pool has the skimmer system there is a hose coming from the bottom of the skimmer to the wall of the pool which would be your suction to the pump. Disconnect the hose clamp from the suction port that goes through the wall of the pool remove the hose then unscrew the blue adapter on the inside of the pool there you will find a strainer / screen. Whatever gets pass the basket in the skimmer get's plugged up in that screen causing the pump to starve for water causing the LOW FLOW sensor to go off on the Saltwater pump.

Let me know if this helps any.

I just purchased an intex above ground pool and i need help on where to put the chlorine at

The problem with the floaters is they can drop out small pieces of tablets or granuales and cause bleach spots on the bottom of your pool. Use the skimmer.

Pump and skimmer instructions on how to

Direction of flow is FROM the skimmer to the pump and back to the jet. Its easy enough to determine which hose is the "jet" hose and which is the suction hose. Put both into the water, or in a bucket and turn on the pump, find the one that is shooting out water, that's the jet hose. On these systems, filter replacement and cleaning is annoyingly frequent if you want it to work even remotely efficient.

Intex system not giving chlorine, no errors but no green light

I found I had the same problem. I would set the hours, it would count them down but the green light would NOT come on indicating it was producing chlorine, yet the sleep light would light up after the count down so I knew the light was working. I checked my salt, made adjustments, had to do shock treatments to keep it clean. Today I  found out that the manual is incorrect in how it says to set it. After you set the hours, instead of pushing both the arrows at the same time until it beeps, push the down button until it beeps, and then the up button until it beeps. For 2 months I have fussed with this system, and finally the green light came on and my test strips indicate it is producing chlorine. Yeah! To bad intex does not seem to mention this on their web site.
Good Luck
