SOURCE: I have a RYOBI pole
I assume you have the Ryobi powerhead with the multiple tool shaft (can use it with an edger, blower, trimmer, and pole saw) If so, does the powerhead square drive spin when you squeeze the throttle trigger? Does the chain move freely on the saw end when not connected? Is the attachment fully inserted into the powerhead shaft (small spring-loaded button should pop out of the hole when fully inserted.
SOURCE: on a xRemington gas pole saw, I can't get it to oil the blade
Believe this has small oil pump that is operated by turning of the chain sprocket, clean all holes and if this does not fix check the pump sprocket.
