You can find the driver in the Buffalo download archive for older products:

http://site2.buffalotech.com/support/downloads2.php

Choose from the menu.
You also find manuals and set-up guides there.

If you have any more questions, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

Good luck!

    Hi there,

I looked at the drivers. I downloaded them and unzipped them. (Do yo have a problem here?)
There are no setup files, so what you have to do is:

    1. Drag the unzipped folder to the Desktop.

    2. Right-click on "My Computer"

    3. Choose "Manage"

    4. Go to "Device Manager"

    5. Look for your Buffalo adapter. You might have to expand "Network Adapters" or look under "PCMCIA"

    6. Double-click your Buffalo entry.

    7. Go to the "Driver" tab

    8. Click on "Update Driver"

    9. In the "Update Hardware WIzard" (if you are using Windows XP) say "No" to the automatic driver search. Click Next

    10. Choose "Install from a list or specific location". Click Next.

    11. Choose "Search for the best driver in these locations". Un-tick "Search removeable media". Tick "Include this location in the search". Browse to the unzipped folder on the Desktop and locate one of the folders (WIN9X_MEor WIN2000_XP). What you are looking for is an .inf file, which is the driver.

    12. Click Next and finish the wizard.
Download the "Quick Set Up Guide" from here - it also shows how to install the driver.

If this is not working or not clear to you, let me know.

    Dante

Usb probs???

Hi gkell00

From Device Manager right click on your wireless adapter and select 'Properties'. Click the 'Power Management' tab and uncheck 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'.

If this doesn't help then first try Rolling back the wireless adapter driver. If still no joy make sure Windows 7 has all the latest updates installed and you have the latest driver for your wireless adapter.

Does this help?

Air station keeps cutting out - client manager advises to change channels! How do I do this?

first i would download and install this program http://www.xirrus.com/library/wifitools.php that will tell you all the networks being broadcast and what channel they are on ideally you want to be on channel 1 or 6 or 11 - as they do not overlap
you should be able to download a manual from here http://www.buffalo-technology.com/support/downloads/
you need to login to the router and then goto the wireless section and changed the channel there
looking at this model http://www.buffalo-technology.com/products/wireless/wireless-g-125-high-speed/

Print jobs get stuck in the queue

OK - all the answer posts on HP sites, Experts Exchange and MS have been a joke to this problem so far. HP 10xx series LaserJet printers do not work (well) in a shared environment. I have found two solutions to this problem. If you really don't understand shares/printing/services/firewall exceptions - don't bother trying this - buy a networked printer when the toner runs out of the HP10xx.
If you want to spend a few hours or about $100 for a print server/NAS device, read on... I HAVE an HP1022 shared on a Windows XP Pro SP3 machine serving as a print server to a Vista laptop, a Windows 7 desktop and a Mac-Mini running OS X 10.6.x. ALL are working.
1. Buy a network print server device (or a NAS device with an included print server - I picked up a Buffalo LS-CHL 1TB and it worked out of the box. I AM NOT ENDORSING BUFFALO NAS servers, they get horrible reviews and you may end up having the same problem down the road due to the NAS device) In this case, your print clients (Win7, Vista, XP, MacOS X) can use a traditional SMB Windows client to print or the BETTER solution is to use the print services for Unix client that comes with Windows but is not installed by default. Both clients work, you may have fewer problems down the road using the Unix (LPR) client. See http://www.alexfalkenberg.com/2009/10/06/linkstation-windows-printing-problem-solved/ This is an excellent article on the Buffalo - BUT THE SOLUTION works in a native windows environment as well.
2. Build on the idea from number 1 above and INSTALL the LPDSVC (friendly name TCP/IP print services) on the machine with the printer LOCALLY attached through USB. You will also have to open up some firewall ports on the machine you are using as a print server if you have one running... I used a program exception (C:\WINDOWS\system32\tcpsvcs.exe) but you could lock this down to 1 TCP port if you wish - I think TCP 515 but you'd better check on this one...) Share the printer as normal. Next install the "Print Services for Unix" CLIENT on the machines you want to connect to the printer remotely from. When you connect to the printer share from the clients, select a LOCAL port, create a NEW PORT, select LPR, use the hostname or the IP of your machine acting as a print server and the NAME OF THE SHARE as the queue. (I don't like to have spaces in my share names, so I used HPLaserJet when I set up the share and description.) You will HAVE TO INSTALL THE RIGHT Printer driver locally on each client. This might be easiest just plugging in the printer with a USB cable since the HP printer driver is an installer as well and wants it to be connected locally unless you can extract the driver...)
Sorry I can't give more details than this. If you don't get the jist of what I am saying above. Don't try it. Give up and call the plumber.

My dear! alway remember that when you use any new hardware you should install driver first and then plug it with CPU. So it could be possible that when you install driver first then card will pick and work properly.

Windows xp service pack3 no wireless internet

ok, this is an easy fix, just go into device manager and unistall the wireless card, dissable AVG firewall and activate microsoft's firewall. Then Download CCleaner and clean the registry, you can download it from here:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

when you have cleaned the registry restart the pc, it should now detect the wireless card and install the drivers for it, it will show this in the system tray (bottom righthand side where the time is)
This should resolve the problem for you
post back if you still have problems

Buffalo G45S router

make sure that there's a wireless card installed in the laptop. if it has, check that it's installed properly on device manager. if it's installed properly check if the wireless capability of the router is enabled. you can access the router's web user interface for you wireless settings. if you have done evrything but your laptop won't still connect, try to isolate the problem by connecting another laptop to your router wirelessly, if another will connect porperly to the router, it means that there's somethign wrong with your laptop or the other way around

hope this'll help you and just ask me if you have other concern

ciao!

Dell Latitude and buffalo client manager problems

I have just had exactally the same problem,
Right, what you need to do is, go to "help & support" for the start menu, when that has loaded search device manager.
Then click on the first [yellow] question mark you see under "network adaptors". The it will come up as, a property box, then click re-install driver, during the process of re-installing a box will appear, like mine did as we both have the same computer/laptop,saying something like; "window's dose not support this" there are 2 options continue installation or stop, click continue & then go to client manager and see wether your wireless card been picked up, if that failed try clicking other question marks & re-installing then. It may be related.
