How to change profile picture when it says Sorry! We could not save your profile photo. Please try again later.

What program/site gives this message? Facebook? I imagine you need to convert the photo to a different format, maybe jpg or another lossy filetype so it's small enough to make the upload feasible.

I am trying to change my profile picture

Assuming you have no personal pic up already, you should be able to choose a pic by clicking on the profile pic space. It will ask you to choose or upload a pic. Choose to upload. Got to the pictures in my pictures. Select the pic you took and the.n hit open on the pop up screen. This should allow you to upload the pic to your profile.

How do i get a picture the right size to fit on my social media page?

Hi,
if you have a photo in jpeg format then it is possible to save it in jpeg format too but changing the parameter "JPEG quality factor" from 100% to 80% for example. The pixels of photo will be the same but the size smaller. I usually use Microsoft Photo Editor application on my Windows PC:
1- open file
2- save as ...
3- choose jpeg format
4- press button "more"
5- change jpeg quality factor %
6- press save

Bye

Picture download isn't same size as camera says

First, don't confuse pixels with bytes. Though you didn't specify the model of your Sony camera, I assume you're taking 10 megapixel photos. This simply means that the photograph is comprised of about ten million points of color. When those points of color are processed and compressed (JPEG files are always compressed) they will usually take up much less than ten million bytes on the memory card or your computer's hard disk. As an extreme example, consider a photograph taken with the lens cap on. All ten million points will be pure black, and it certainly doesn't take 10MB to say that.

Second, without knowing anything about the product you're trying to create or the site where you're trying to do it, no one can help you.

How to reduce picture file size on my Mac

Where are the photos?
If they are in iPhoto, select the one you want and email it to yourself. iPhoto will then ask you what size you want to send the pictuire.Once you have received the image you can then upload it in its new size.
Seems inelegant but it works.

How do u download pic 2 wprofile on web site

Hi!

Just what exactly are you trying to do. Your picture to be uploaded and become the profile picture in a website profile page (like Facebook or yahoo or gmail)?

First of all you need to save the picture as jpeg format (recommended format for image and picture.
You will need to shorten the image size of the picture. Because most of picture uploader needs at utmost 150 kb size of the image file. (In case your picture exceeds the allowable size.. there is a free software that you can use to cut the image size of your picture (like Image Resizer program)

Just post back if you still have some question.

thank you for using Fixya

All my pics are jpeg. Trying to download them to

You could try another web browser, for example mozilla firefox, or google chrome... there's also a solution to download Ubuntu and burn to disc, reboot from the disc and upload using this other O.S. which is based on GNU/Linux file system and is immune to viruses and able to read/access windows files on the same computer you booted from. :)

How to reduced photo in format (JPEG)

To decrease the size of the image as well as change the format to jpeg, Open the file in PaintBrush and do a "Save As" and choose the file type as JPEG, and the size is reduced.
Once the size of the file is small, it won't take much time to upload in any site.
