Hi,

Yes you can replace it.

I have an iphone, of - moz-screenshot.jpgAre your speakers not working on your iphone? You can't hear anything when someone tries to call you? This is a fairly common problem and unfortunately it is a hardware issue instead of a software issue, this means that simply rebooting the phone won't fix it. However there is a fix! I'll explain it:

  1. The reason for this is because there is probably dust or some other object lodged in your headphone dock, on top of your iPhone. So let's clean it! Go and grab a Q-tip and your earphones.
  2. Step 2 Just to double check, go ahead and restart your iPhone. There is a possibility that your iPhone doesn't fall into the hardware problem and it actually is just a software issue. If that didn't work, move onto step 3.
  3. Step 3 Now take your headphones and insert it into the headphone jack, pull it out, and then put it back in again. Try doing this several times and it should go back to normal. If that still doesn't work, go to step 4.
  4. Step 4 Take a Q-tip and cutoff the top so a very small amount of the cotton is on there. Damp the cut end in Windex and insert it into the headphone jack so you can clean it out. You will be surprised at how much dust is trapped in there! If you are still out of luck, move onto step 5.
  5. Step 5 If you are reading this step because your iPhone still doesn't work, then I'm sorry. The final solution is go to the Apple store. There is something wrong with your phone and it needs more attention than ear plugs and Q-tips. Don't bother calling Apple because they will tell you to plug and unplug your headphones 5 times as fast as you can (you could also try this again).
If problem still persist, you need to replace the speaker.

Follow the below mentioned to change speaker foam, if that would help :-

Unless follow the above one to change as well.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I'm assuming you have tried the obvious things like turning the volume up? If so, you need to replace the ear piece speaker. Link below to buy the part and video on how to fix. Fairly easy repair.

Iphone 5 has a very different screen than the previous ones. In order to replace a broken screen, the entire lcd has to be replaced. You might have not connected all the wires from the new lcd to the motherboard, or you didnt replace all of the parts necessary

I suggest you search for somebody who repairs iPhone's and ask him or her to check the internal electronics of your device. An iPhone is a powerful device. Every inch inside an iPhone is used for electronic components, chips and cables. If you drop an iPhone the chance is big that the internal components have damage. If you're lucky it's only a loose cable inside the phone. A technician can just reconnect it but they need special tools and knowledge to open up and repair your iPhone.
You could also go to a store and let them send in your iPhone to the Apple repair centre, but this will be very expensive.
The cheapest way is that you search for a local technician who repairs iPhones. They will actually repair your iPhone. The "repair" service from Apple is actually more like a replace service. They will throw your defective iPhone away and will send you a new iPhone (same model as you sent in) and the repair will cost you the same a a new iPhone.

Iphone 5 Front Screen Broken

You could visit your local Apple Store. To repair the screen runs around $149 dollars and takes around half an hour. They will also probably offer to replace the entire phone or around $229 dollars. Had a co-worker with the same issue last week and the above is what happened to him. Hope that helps!

Broken screen on iphone

Sir/Mam,Replace a new one.
But it's not a simple task because you must find the screen (LCD) that is matching with your model of your iphone. And if you can't do it by yourself than please refer to the nearest service centre.

Iphone 4s broking screen

Unless you bought good insurance for the phone, you get to use it with a broken screen. Clear packing tape over the screen will help keep it together but be prepared for degraded performance over time. Start saving up for a new phone and think about the replacement insurance next time.

There's also a decent article on other alternatives at: http://www.ehow.com/how_5202803_replace-fix-iphone-broken-screen.html

including a link to yiutube video showing how to replace the screen (not recommended).

Hope this helped

After replacing the screen on my iphone.....

Looks like your backlight is broken, if you had the same issue before it could be a broken logic board. The screen is not too hard to replace or to reconnect. There is a stepby step guide too that explains a little bit at eachstep how todisassemble the iphone2.gif properly : iPhone screen repair. There are also third party iphone repair companies that do it for you.

I have fitted a new screen on my iphone but now i need to prelace speaker inside the phone, it is broken.

Hello there

The screen replacement can be done (as you have) failry easily. The only way to replace the speaker however, is by having the phone sent to Apply for repair.

Kind regards
