I heard a pop sound, and now there is no power to the VIZIO RP56... found the lamp to be out.
I replaced the lamp, and now I still don't have power to the TV
confirming the outlit is working and it's hot, I unpluged, and repluged the power cord, still not power to the TV?

The picture stayed on but there was a loud sound coming from the set

Could be the flyback transformer. The noise comes from the delamination of the layers in the transformer. It's an "old age" thing. You can try slathering it with cyanoacrylate (SuperGlue), but it probably needs to be replaced. Call your manufacturers service agent to estimate costs.

If the cooling fan on my Vizio RP56 stops working, will it cause my screen to go blank, seems like bulb will not work if cooling fan is broke.

The fans are all monitored by the Micro. When one goes down, especially the lamp fan, they will not fire. If the fan is bad, replace it. If it's not I would call a service company.

How do you adjust screen size in HMDI mode screen display is centered and not wide screen

That is one big problem with the Vizio, They do not have this option. You may have better luck trying to adjust it through your cable box if you have one. They do offer an option on some of there remotes that says "wide" this will magnify the picture to full screen in most cases, it has been the only solution I have been able to find, besides the setup on the cable box. I hope this helps, Good luck.
