I have the above model, today, it was working fine, then the screen went wierd. Remember the older tv's with the V-Hold? it looks like the vertical hold is messed up, just get a norrow line in the middle of the screen and it floats upwards really fast, cant see the menu screen or anything at all.

A older set with a number of issues. If unplugged and rear cover removed there is a metal channel that runs left to right above the boards---look for any signs of white residue in it or from the tubes above it----if see ANY signs of clear liquid do not touch it.
Your convergence chips and convergence resistors are going bad. When they fail the screen colors will look distorted/3d looking. Another symptom is one or more colors can't be converged using the convergence menu. You can purchase the parts over the internet. Just make sure you get Sanyo brand convergence chips and the correct flame proof resistors. You can also check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They are working on a complete kit for this model.
When you say messed up do you mean the convergence is out? please explain a little more detail as to what you are seeing. Also when its messed up if you press the menu button on the remote does the menu look good?
Your projection tubes are messed up. It's a very expensive fix, just get a working TV off craigslist with a smashed screen and reuse your screen itself (usually 100-200$) or just toss the TV and upgrade to an LCD
