1. turn it off & disconnect from computer 2. open printer & check for any obstructions 3. load a sheet of paper, press & hold the paper feed button while turning the printer on 4. it should print a test page, else the printer needs service as there might be some no-user serviceable parts inside that got damaged by the paper jam.
Not sure of your operating system ie xp vista or what system. sounds like a memory problem, ie large file like a picture or something, but you can try to reboot your computer (turn computer off and unplug) turn on. If this does not solve then easiest next step is to delete driver for printer (not just icon but software then reboot then reinstall. Good luck
Do a printer check by copying on standalone. means placing a document inside the scanner. Load 10 sheets of regular paper into the feeder then press the start button to begin copying. Try 2 copies. If it gives you the same error, then there is already an issue with the gear inside the printer. If your unit is not under warranty anymore, log on to support.epson.com. Click on help me find a service center to the right of the page. You will have to put in your zip code to find an epson certified servicer near to your area. If your unit is not a year old yet, please call epson technical support. If it copied successfully, it could be just the paper settings, or the type of paper that you are using is not supported or you might have to uninstall and re-install drivers.
Use flashlight to shine inside of all possible visible areas of printers. Especially to the very right or very left. I'm sure you will find something. Remove it
Ran into the same problem. The problem is that the printer's paper sensor sees through the vellum and therefore doesn't think any paper moved into the print position. To use vellum, fold up 1/4" edge on a standard peice of print paper and place the leading edge of the vellum under the flap. Place the paper and vellum into the printer and print. The printer will pull in the paper and the vellum together. Make the paper fold tight and straight to prevent jamming. You will need to feed one sheet at a time. Also the Epson inks take a long time to dry on vellum. I let mine dry overnight.
