Aux how do i use the aux port - Car Audio & Video

I would think it's a bit early for a USB port, and if there was one it would be in an obvious location, check the drivers manual

Make sure whatever is plugged into the Aux port is the proper size and configuration (2-lead, 3-lead; 3.5mm, etc) as far as the cable, is properly seated (not so big that it doesn't fit all the way in) and that the device is on. Most Aux inputs don't activate unless there is an active signal coming in.

There is no port. There should be a ten wire bundle (5 pair) coming out of the back (next to the power port). One pair of wires should be labeled aux in.

you likely have an aux port on the product that the remote controls, it allows your device to open up the pathway to the aux port. eg if it is a sterio unit, then the aux could be a digital tuner, or if a TV the aux could be a video player etc

To the best of my understanding an Aux port is usually an input port. So you might be sticking the sound bar terminals into the wrong connector in TV. The audio signal from the TV is meant to go into the Aux In port of the sound bar. Usually this will mean a pair of RCA cables (white and red) from TV out to Aux In. If you have done the right things then maybe check if soundbar is not in mute. Try some other source as well. Like connecting an iPhone or ipod stereo out to the Line In port in soundbar and selecting LineIn mode.

Aux port for what?

No. Radio works off single fuse. Some aux ports have to be enabled by mode/source setting. Check your radio manual on how to turn on aux port.

I have a 2007 CRV which had the same issue. I fixed this by:
- first removing the AUX port cover by carefully prying it up from both the rear-facing and front-facing edges. Once done, this exposes the AUX port mechanism itself.
- Using some needlenose plyers, I pulled out the AUX port component. It simply slides out.
- The trick now is to PUSH the broken piece out of the inside of the port. To do this, I first removed the "cover" that is covering the end of the port (opposite from the opening to the port). Be very careful with this step as you don't want to break the cover. It's very thin plastic.
- Once this cover is removed, I used a pin to push the piece that was lodged inside back out of the opening.
Reassembly was the opposite of this and was quick.
