If you have heavy printing or a block of ink that is printing on the leading edge it will do that. If the other end of your print job isn't like this then turn your print job around so that your heavy inking side is the last to go through.. I've experienced this problem.

Hello we have a RISO GR 3770 - and the cloro drum is stuck in the machine. the green light is not on. how can we get the drum out?

Open front door. If you look at the metal housing below the drum you will see a plate mounteg with two screws. Get it off and you will see a small lever. Turn it right to loosen the drum. Be extremely careful when pulling out the drum. If the drum is not in zero-position it might be a bit difficult (e.g. have a look at the master clamp). Please note that it may be difficult to insert the drum again.

How to unlock a hydraulic boat trailer actuator?

Hello there.
Just a brief overview first.
The hydraulic system is a basic setup. A master cylinder is pushed when the tow vehicle slows applying pressure through a brake line to wheel cylinders mounted in a backing plate. This pressure pushes out a piston in the wheel cylinder which in turn pushes out a brake shoe against the drum. If it has disc brakes it also pushes a piston out squeezing the pads on the rotor.
So what needs to be figured out is what is applying the brakes.
1. The master cylinder is stuck rearward and not allowing pressure release.
2. The wheel cylinder or caliper piston is stuck and not backing off keeping pressure on the friction shoe or pad.
3. The friction pad or shoe is rusted to the surface of the drum or rotor and not allowing wheel to turn.
4. The friction material has fallen apart and jammed up inside the drum.

If the master cylinder is stuck, get a new one. Really common for water to get inside them and rust the cylinder bore.
If the caliper or wheel cylinder is siezed it will be a replacement as well.
If you do have drum brakes you may need to back of the adjuster wheel through the slot in the lower inside of the backing plate to get the drum off.
If the friction is rusted to the drum or rotor sometimes a few swings with a hammer is enough to break them free (wear safety glasses!)
If they are rusted it still would be a good idea to pull them apart and clean them up.
The 4th scenario is also a take the drum off repair. Install new shoes and while there check out the wheel cylinders, no use putting on new shoes if they don't work.

Also be a good idea to flush the old brake fluid. Over time brake fluid absorbs water and rusts components in the system. And if you need to pull the wheels have a look at the wheel bearings too.

Hope this leads you to getting your trailer road worthy.

I recently bought a used Riso RZ310 - It seems to be in operating condition. However, I didn't know anything about it, and when I pulled out the master drum it had a heavy film of ink on it... so ... not...

It is part of the copy process for the ink to be there, remove the old master and slide the drum back into the Risograph. And create a new master, you can find user manuals on the net, if you are unsure how to do this.

A05-304 error & Top section of page cutting off

the thing might be down to an old master stuck to the drum this could cause the faint copies and the missing print.. pull the drum out check under the master.this would also cause the paper to jam on exit. the error is for no master eject check the calmp is free where it grips the master and also the path for the master eject to the waste bin

Drum stuck RISO RN2235ui

Hi,
assuming you have a RN machine
you should of removed the master on the drum by hand if it was not used for more than a couple of weeks, and wipe dry under the clamp.
To get the drum out, hinge up the top of the machine over the top of the drum there is another small door, it hinges up like the top of the machine.
At this point ensure that the drum is in the home position i.e the clamp of the drum is at 12:00 (on top). if not turn drum to that point by hand.
Then try the button again to release the drum. If that fails there is a small **** under the drum at the front door area. there is a catch there that holds in the drum which you can move to the side with a flat screw driver.

Risograph Drum

Hi,
Try run a hundred copies at slow speed and full density/ pressure.
If that fails get a can of WD40 and spray it under the master, then rub the area with your finger. this will desolve the dryed ink on the drum surface.

Riso GR3750 T1 error Drum Jam

I had this problem too: just unlock the hook under the drum; disengage the drum then pull out the drum; then check the home position if not in position open the behind cover, pull the belt until you get the puller to the home position. You will get the same problem if you will not put the main drum puller to the home position. chimuntu@yahoo.com

Remove the master that is on the drum. Then check the master roll remove it cut about 18 inches off then re install master roll. hit the reset, then print bottons.
