Question about HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Faxing from scanner rather than feeder.. help.

Everytime I try to send a fax my machine is now pulling from the scanner rather than the feeder. My papers will go through the feeder, but the person receiving the fax just gets a black paper because it thinks the fax is on the scanner. I have tried to reset the factory settings and find how to change from glass to feeder as the pick up spot, but it still seems to be a problem. Any ideas?

Although I read the manual, I cannot figure out where or how to clean the scanner which I assume is where my problem is. I only get vertical lines when copying. Faxing is fine. Can you help?

Faxing is fine , when sending or receiving ?
any way I do not think you need to clean the scanner . if you can send a fax and other party can get the fax your scanner is ok . If not you need to replace the scanners light which is a glass looking bar close to your document feeder

Faxing more than one page from glass.

You should be able to load the pages into the top "feeder" on the printer / scanner / fax. I think the needed to be loaded face up if I remember correctly. From there, you can dial the number, and hit fax, it should start to **** in the pages one at a time until they are all faxed.

Hope this helps!

That totally depends upon which model ur using just try to pull up the slot where u put ur paper for faxing it will open then just check where the scanner lies and ur print face shall be towards scanner you send top to bottom or bottom to top it doesn't matter.

Faxing

if using the feeder probably face up as it will likely pull the document in and invert it to lay face down on the scanning glass.

if you lift up the feeder (like lifting the top of a copy machine), then it would be face down on the glass.

there should be an image on the feeder illustrating how the document should be placed - if it looks like a page with lines on it with a bent corner then it is face up.

Faxing is clean, streaks occur when copying

Open the document feeder cover. The scanner glass is dirty or you have a bad scanner block.

Fax

Faxing from the 926 is a pretty straight forward process.
Put your document into the document feeder (or if is only one page, put it in the scanner area)
In the menu arrow down to FAX in the menu, enter the number you want to fax to, and push START.

That will scan the document, dial the number and send the fax.

There are additional options for faxing (like delayed fax, and a number of other options which can be found in the owners manual)

Faxing multiple pages

Hi,

Faxing using the scanner glass, it would ONLY allow you to do it one at a time. You can Use the Automatic DOcument Feeder on the TOP part of your printer. load all those pages and try to do the faxing. That should work.

Please, let me know if the issue is resolve.

Thank you so much.
