The only way you can is to pull the jacket off and find the right plug ends to put together to bump the temperature up.you will see them they are all labeled. the controller is alot better to have especially because it will tell you if you have any problems with it before it freaks out and kicks the bucket!

The Noritz HW Heater has been tripping out some (usually whenever the shower is running, and someone turns on cold water). LED flashing three times. Any Ideas

This is probably a 16 error code. This code indicates the outlet water spiked above the set temperature for an extended period. It usually means the heater needs to be descaled or the manifold pressures need to be adjusted.

How do I manually change the temperature on Noritz N-0631S tankless water heater if I don't have the optional remote controler?

There are temperature jumper clips located on the inside left wall of the heater. They will be in a small plastic baggie. The procedure is as follows:

1. disconnect power
2. install the jumper connector in the plastic slot located between the remote control screws on the circuit board (right hand side of the heater)
3. reconnect power

Will not try to lite

1) First make sure you are getting power into the unit.
2) Then check for any visible water inside the unit which might indicate a leak.
3) The third possibility is the flow sensor being stuck. Try opening a large flow of water (bath tub, two sinks and shower) and see if the unit fires. Otherwise you may want to contact a servicer to clean this component.

check the wiring connections for your remote. The FF is related to communication problems with the remote. You should also reset the unit by disconnecting electricity, waiting 20 seconds, and then reconnecting electricity to the heater.

You are actually getting a 90 error code. This error code occurs if the unit is dirty and overheating. I'd recommend contacting a servicer to clean your heater with compressed air. They'll need to remove the fan motor and manifold plate to fully clean the burner chamber and heat exchanger.

I have a noritz water tankless heater and hot water stopped. Red light blinking three times. Need help.

Three flashes typically indicates the unit is overheating due to scale. I'd try a descale initially and see if that remedies the problem.

Error code 14 shows on the remote for a noritz tankless lpg water heater. what does it mean?

This means the thermal fuse has broken and needs replacement. The thermal fuse is a white cord which wraps around the heat exchanger. It typically breaks if the unit is excessively dirty and sooted. Before the fuse is replaced you should make sure the unit is cleaned with compressed air and descaled.

Water does notget hot enough

Hi,
Have you tried to turn to temperature up higher? The units come factor set at a low water temperature and usually need to be adjusted higher after installation.

Down load this manual and follow the instructions on pages 11 or 12 depending on whether or not you have a remote control. My gues is that you do not have the remote.

Trouble light bilnks 3 times pause and then repeats

You have a 16 error code, abnormal output temperature. I recommend performing a descale to remove hard water deposits in the heat exchanger. This should resolve your issue.
