Get a service manual or pro to get this taken care of. It's a timing issue..accordianman

I took out all discs. When I tell it to play a disc the table moves back and forth slowly about an inch. After a couple trys "Table Error" shows up. Both belts are old but on.

Tray will prolly need retimed after the belts slipped off the pulleys.
Procedure is with tray brackets removed lift tray in back then push open button to let the cam gear spin around to open position. Then let tray down and try to close it with button. Reinstall brackets and may take a few attempts to get that gear in the right position!

Troubles con mi cd 400cd. I do not speak Englis Well but I understand a little bit. Please what can I do?...Displays "Table Error". CD's ... Displays "table Error". Cd's won't...

You will have to open the top of the changer. 2 screws on top, 2 screws on each side, and three across the back. then pull off the top. Chances are that you have a jammed disc. when you tried to play it, it probably sounded like gears grinding. you should see a jammed disc at the back left of the carousel. Gently work it out then try to play another disc. leave the top off and test a few before re assembling. Hope this helps. if you need further help, just post a comment and i will help you further.

I am experiencing similiar problems. Was gettin a table error. So I craked into it and removed a couple cds which were jammed. Now the table error is gone but all 300 cds will only play the first half of...

Hello,if the spindle table is bent "this is the platter on the motor that the disc sits on" it will have problems reading the outside of the disc, which is where the later songs are.Check to see if there is extensive disc wobble during playback, sometimes you can slightly bend the table to near straight, other times you need to replace the motor.

Spin both directions theb display show table error

Usually CD rotates in the clockwise direction. Whenever you are using CD which your CD player cannot detect then CD is rejected and suddenly CD rotates in anticlockwise direction.
Also, If your player is older and your CD players laser head worn out then CD's which were played good previously cannot be played properly and then stop in middle, when this happens you can see CD rotating in anti direction.

Clean the laser head, with CD cleaner and do not use scratched CD's

Sony cdp cx 355 displaying table error

What worked for me was taking the cover off and carefully threading a belt back onto a wheel. There are two motors at the back of the unit, one (I believe) that grabs the discs and moves them in & out of the player, and a second one that rotates the table (i.e., the round slotted thing that holds all the discs). The belt had simply slipped off the wheel that drives the latter. I did remove the back panel as well, to access it better, and inadvertently disconnected a sensor plug, which led to a second round of troubleshooting, but - in the end - I got it working!

What probably happened is that some CDs fell off their tracks and are blocking the main wheelhouse from turning. To solve this you will need a philips head screw driver. First unplug the machine. You will need to remove the top of the unit (which slides off towards to the back) after removing the 9 screws (2 top, 4 side, and 3 top back). Once you slide off the cover, you will expose the wheelhouse and you should see the CDs that fell off. Simply take the cds out. Once you have taken out all the CD that came off the tracks, slide the cover back on and screw in the 9 screws. The CD player should work again. This worked for me and hopefully will work for anyone encountering this error.
