You need to remember when it flowers,if it flowers at the early part of the year which is group 1 they need to be pruned after flowering, when new growth appears tie in to support and feed. Group 2 flower on last years growth in late spring early summer. Prune before new growth appears in early spring. Group 3 flower in summer + early autumn. Hope that may be of some use.
