The printer might be trying to pick up the paper. The feed/pickup rollers might need to be cleaned.

Printer Canon 240PM It stopped printing and despays P8

on the printer you have a buton called resume/cancel; it has on it a red circle and in the circle a red triangle; hold that buton for at least 10 seconds and the error should go away; if it still shows the error hold one more time the same buton for at least 10 seconds, after that power off and power on the printer.
your printer will never show the amount of ink in the cartridges again until you put in new and original ones but it will print scan & copy like it is new.

I got a Paper Jam message while trying to print on Avery business card paper. Pulled back the jammed paper by reaching into the tray. Tried printing again, Jammed again. Removed the Jam Clear Cover in...

First off, NEVER EVER turn a componant upside down and shake it. Second, open the printer up and search for any additional paper. A lot of time a paper jam isn't just one sheet, especially if you have a faster printer. I would also try using some rubber rejuvinator on the printer so that it picks the paper up better so it goes through the printing cycle better.

Paper is not jammed, however the error screen comes up everytime with the comments.... paper output slot the paper is jammed. clear the paper and press ok. press ok and it goes back to the same screen. ...

try to check inside your printer some small torn papers must have been left inside the mechanism of the printer and that it can detect that is why it keeps prompting a window saying it is jammed.

Paper jam stuck on

Just to make sure, have you opened it all up, removed the ink/toner and inspected everything?

If you've already done that, try unplugging the unit from the wall power for 1 minute, and then plug it back in, some printers will not clear until a power cycle has been performed.

Paper Jam

Remove all the paper from the paper tray so that nothing gets sucked up in there while you're working. Hit the cancel button a few times until the screen clears itself and goes back to the "Print", "Copy", "Scan" option screen.

On your computer, if the printer option screen is up (depending on what kind of computer you have, a small screen might pop up to tell you the print progress), hit cancel or clear on any of the lines that say "Paper jam", if there are any.

The next time you print something, only put as many pieces of paper in the feed as you need to print. This should eliminate a lot of the chance of actually getting a paper jam.

Please respond again if this didn't help. I'm not sitting in front of my own computer right now, so I might not be following the same steps that I usually take.

Hi Scott, My experience is if there was a jam and it still says it's jammed after clearing the paper you missed some. Even if the sheet that caused the last jam didn't tear it may have moved a torn piece of paper that was in there from before. Check again, really well for small pieces of paper stuck somewhere. Hope that helps. If not let me know and I'll see what else we can do. El Duderino
