Your power bottom is stack that prevent the remote from working

Testimonial: "I tried unplugging the bottom PCB (with all of the buttons) from the main board and the tv still turned on as soon as it was plugged in."

SOURCE: Harmony 520 Remote switching HDMI input on TV (Vizio GL42L)

Hey there -

I'm using a Vizio GV42LF and I seem to have fixed the problem.

I just worked with the settings, and actually used the Help feature on the remote which helps you sort out the input select issues; I was surprised, but the step by step, "Is the TV on...yes or no", "Is the TV on HDMI1...yes or no", actually fixed the issue.

Now I have volume control on the TV, and can select channels on the set top box, or switch to my HTPC and stereo etc.

The remote itself I find a little cheap; compared to the Vizio remote, it's amazing how hard you have to push the buttons. The Vizio has "soft" buttons whereas the Log. is HARD to press, BUT maybe this is good if you have a little one running around like a madman.

SOURCE: mintex 37 inch wide screen. remote is working however cannot change channel, input source or volum. only turns tv off. The buttone on tv doesnot work connot change input source or volume

Check if the remote is in TV position, that is, because most of the remote controllers have the feature that you can program them for use with another devices. Make shure that one button that says "TV" in pressed and released once before you try to change any function on the TV.

SOURCE: samsung lcd tv no picture just sound

While this is not a permanent solution, we've fond it helps... We have a Samsung LCD that does not turn on when there is too much humidity in the room. This only happens in the summer when it gets really humid. We moved our dehumidifier next to it, let it run for around 15 minutes and the TV turned on again, no problem. Lately, it's been raining alot so it's very humid. We've gotten into the habit of leaving our dehumidifier on through the night on low and we've had not issues turning on the tv since then. This is a hastle but it's either that or buying a new tv.

SOURCE: My Samsung LN-S2651D has sound but no picture

Hello,

Check with Samsung, this model should still be under the 3 year warranty. You are having a problem with the backlight power supply. You can look on the back of the unit for the manuf. date, if its less than 3 years then go to www.samsung.com and process the online service request form.

I hope this helps,if so please rate our solution.

No sound from hdmi2 my hdmi1 is saying no signal so when I switch it to hdmi2 it gives picture but no sound is there a way to make sound come from hdmi2 im using firestick

Have you tried plugging the Firestick into HDMI 1? The Firestick has its own volume control on the remote... is that turned up? You can also press the up button (above the OK) in certain apps to increase volume. If that fails I would check sound settings in the firestick and select "passthrough", "bitstream" or "PCM" to see if it allows sound to your TV. Are you using the HDMI dongle with your Firestick? If so, you may want to plug in in without the dongle as sometimes these have issues.

Panasonic plazma tv th-42pd50u. Red light automatically turns on when connected to power and stays on. No clicks, No blinks and No picture. Is this a faulty power supply board?

possible reasons, its in standby, hold in the proper ON button on the tv for up to 20 seconds gently. or try disconnect power(pull plug out) wait 10 seconds, plug back in and turn on using the actual button(holding for up to 20 seconds) NOT THE REMOTE if that does not work, make sure your INPUT is CORRECTLY selected eg you are viewing HDMI1 and NOT HDMI2 for example. there may be different procedures for flashing lights

Hi, I have a Konka TV hooked up to a DVD player, and the decode.they were both running fine until I hit the wrong button on the remote, now I can`t get a picture on the TV at all John

You've probably changed the input port by accident. Look for the "source" button on remote. may be called something else but it's the one that selects which port you want to activate, like..HDMI2 or Skart1 etc....whichever port your DVD player is plugged to, select that one on remote.

What do you think is wrong with my television, it has sound but no picture. How can I fix the problem?

Hi there
I would go to menu on the remote , from there to picture go down the list, if you do not find anything there to help you. Go to Support and to the E manual .

No sound no picture on new LG 49uf6400 tv. Have used remote on all buttons, am on HDMI2, using both LG & universal remote. Power on in house...

Set should be turned on to antenna input from cable or whatever.
If you are using a cable box then the output does go to HDMI 1 input with the source control on set set accordingly. If still no operation either the box is defective or it is the tv not working properly.

I have a Samsung LN55B650, and cannot use the remote to change channels, hav eto use cable remote. I change to TV mode, and program in channels, but that option is not available once I switch to HDMI2,...

OK the cable box remote is the only one that can change channels in this case. because you are using the tuner in the cable box not the TV.
all you need the TV remote for is to turn the TV on and off and turn the sound up and down. if you used the cable input on the TV then the tv remote would be used to change the channels.

No picture on hdmi2

First of all connect the Direct TV box to HDMI 2 and see if it works there. If it does then the next step is to connect the DVD player to HDMI and see if it wors there. If not then connect the DVD player to the TV using the component inputs and if the DVD player works on those. If it does then maybe the HDMI interface in the DVD player no longer works as it needs to communicate with the TV.
