Is the homehub 6 broadband cable the same at both ends?

with a cable that has the right size/shape plugs on it.

In order to connect your TV - any sort - you need:-
1. A BT broadband package.
2. A BT YouView box.
3. A network connection to your HomeHub or other router.
If one of these is missing (or if your broadband connection is too slow) you will not be able to connect to BT TV.
If you have all 3, then on the TV select the signal source to the socket that the YouView box is connected to and it will be installed automatically.

There is no extra charge for wifi if you have BT broadband.
You need to ensure that the wireless network settings on the router and on the laptop coincide otherwise you will not be able to connect.
The security settings are usually somewhere on the Home Hub, a label on the bottom, a slide-out plastic tab on the top, a card that came with the router, depending upon the model of Home Hub.
Getting these right however will not help unless the network settings are also correct. Changing these varies according to your OS, the details I give below are for Win7.
Go to Control Panel, Network and Internet, Network and sharing centre. On the right of the box is a "Change adapter settings". Go to this and it will show your networking hardware. Click on the wireless adaptor, and then the "Properties" button. Highlight the "Internet Protocol Version 4" and click on the "properties" button. Check that there are dots in the "Obtain IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically". If these are not click on the dot so that the little circle is filled with a dot. Back out of all the dialogue boxes by clicking on the "OK" button, close the network adapter page and try reconnecting.
If both the above have been done correctly you will now have wireless access to the HomeHub and hence the Internet. Do be aware however that distance from the HomeHub and intervening objects (esp metal ones) can have a dramatic effect on the signal strength achievable from the HomeHub, so that setting up should always be done from within 10 feet of uninterrupted space.

we have three options to set uop broadband
1 with ethernet cable which has similar ends
2 usb cable
3 wireless

best option is to connect with ethernet, because we dont require any drivers with this option, just connect the cable, one end to the back side of computer another end to router, so in simple words it s the cable connectivity between computer and router and you will be connected

because it is ****?? I have one and am a software developer, it connects to the WIFI but rarely can find a web page and I have 100MB broadband, really this thing is rubbish, return it to your dealer.

I AM ON TALK TALK LAND LINE AND HAVE LOST MY B/B CONN THE MODEM SHOWS TWO GR LIGHTS AND ONE RED I HAVE DIS IT AND RECON IT AND PUSHED THE RESTART BUTTON BUT IT WILL NOT LOAD WHEN I CHECK CONN IT SHOWS RED CROSS BETWEEN COMP AND CONN

i will recommend you to use a wired connection, update the ps3. restart. try wireless now. it may solve problem ! it did in my case

you should have an asdl filter that you hook up to your modem but what they dont tell you is that you also need to fit one to the incoming box (where the phone line comes into your house) just plug the asdl filter into the hole in the wall and plug the phone line into the asdl filters corrisponding socket and that will stop it cutting off the broadband i had to do this as well and now when the phone is answered the broadband stays on. hope this helps.
