First remove the battery and press the power button for 60secs and then start without the battery.If this doesn't help then continue...1. Remove media from your floppy and CD-ROM and reboot.
2. Boot into BIOS and see if the hard drive is recognized. Load defaults and reboot.
3. Boot from your XP disk, then select recovery console. Enter these commands:
Code:fixboot fixmbr4. Reinstall Windows XP (you will lose all of your data, so this step is completely up to you.) The final problem would be your HardDisk.

that message means that windows 2000 professional/98 is not installed which means you have a blank computer you need to put the disk that came with it in and install the OS or purchase one but i'll warn you now those disk are not cheap around a couple hundred bucks
