Words Copied Multiple Times

Hi,

When I print a sheet all words will appear as they should. However multiple words are being copied lightly through-out the whole page, over top of each line. It's like the roller is retaining wet ink?

Thanks in Advance!

Cheers!

I have an HP Laser Jet 4L. It prints fine with the exception of large black splotched on the left hand side of every page. The splotches are toner of course. They are darkest at the begining of the page and become lighter toward the end of the page. I took the unit apart and cleaned it completely but the problem persists.
Could it be as simple as a cartridge problem?

NEAR THE BOTTOM OF OUR COPIES WE ARE GETTING DOUBLE IMAGES.

  • ks73 Jan 04, 2008

When I print on thicker paper (lables, cardstock, etc) I get a double image half-way down the page. It just started after I changed the toner. Changing the paper thickness in the menu doesn't help at all. It doesn't seem to be a problem with normal print jobs. A second printer in our office has the same issue.

When I first try and print during the day I get double images on my pages

with some text from above appearing in light print, after I print out several pages this problem goes away and the sheets print out correctly.

    Any ideas?

In addition to occasionally getting words copied multiple times, I am also finding that the words/image down the right hand side of the page are not 'fixed' to the paper and can be smeared off like old news-papers used to do. Is this a fuser problem? What can I do?

Sounds like a bad heat roll in the fuser.
If it is more like a ghost image repeating perfectly at a certain distance. Say like evry 3 inches, suspect the fuser, which is the heat roller.

Yes Cartridge problem is what causes double imaging 95 % of the time, there is a rubber blade in the drum unit that wears and doesn't clean off old image from drum. Have known this fault to be fuser at times, the way to tell is to get a print to stop half way threw machine by openning door during print, remove cartridge and look at print, you want it to be stop before the fuser(hot bit) but after the drum, image still rubs off if pre fuser and then you can see if defect is present before paper travels threw the fuser, but in your case I think you will find it is not the fuser it is toner cartridge.

How do you do multiple lines when embroidering words and get the space and the word to move down to the next line?

If I understand your question correctly, make sure that when you select multiple lines to copy and then paste that you select the entire lines. When you go to paste your multiple lines, make sure that your cursor is at the front of the line you want to move down. When you choose paste, the multiples lines will be inserted appropriately.

Example:
-->I have multiple lines here that I want to "embroider" into my document. I will click and drag my mouse from the beginning of these lines of text to the _very_ end of them. <---
and then choose copy (or cut).

This is the line of words that I want to move down to the next line.
^ I need to make sure my cursor is right in front of the "T" in This. I choose Paste and the multiple lines will be inserted above these words.

What application are you using? MS Word?

I hope this answer helps!

When printing multiple copies the font changes to nonsense

Go to printer properties and see whether 'Paper source' has being set to 'Manual feed'.

Then change it to 'Auto Feeder' or 'Auto'.

(Different words might have been used in different printer models instead these words)

This is a suggestion. This might work or might not. Have several papers ready in the Auto tray (usually at the bottom) before printing.

I want to copy multiple photos on A4 size paper on our Canon MG5150 printer. Is this possible and how do I change the setting as our printer we purchased from office works came with no mannual

i guess you are trying to print multiple images in one A4 sheet....

the best solution is to insert the images in MS Word....guess you know how to insert images in MS Word (tools / or / insert / picture or image)

select the images one by one...and resize it there to fit them in the A4 sheet....

guess this helps

I have a Minolta CS Pro EP 1031 Printer that makes streak marks

Drum cleaning blade has gone bad. Especially true if the streaks seem to get progressively worse as you run multiple copies. In other words run 10 copies. If the last one out is worse than the first one out it is the drum cleaning blade. Cheap part...around $25

Trying to print multiple images on one page

Unless you have Adoby writter or another software that writes in Adoby PDF format all you can do isto  copy and shrink the four at a copy place.Phisically  fit the four onto one sheet and make copies. Sorry  Adoby is propriatory format and windows word nor most others word processors will not reformat nor change it.

HP Deskjet 5150 print is too small

Printers try to fit web pages on a single sheet of paper. If you configure the printer, in the print dialog, not to shrink images and text to fit the paper, it will print on multiple sheets of paper, but the correct size for the images and text.

In a Word document, it depends on what font size you have selected. Most people would rather have the web page print on a single sheet, with smaller images and text than were on the monitor; than tape together multiple sheets for 100% size printout.

Words Copied Multiple Times

Put the printer into the 1200 low resolution mode. Then go to Control panel --> Printers ---> Select your printer --> Right click --> properties --> Configure tab --> Print Density ---> Make it the lightest that is 1 and check.

Although there is an issue with the cartridge, this process will give you significantly better result. In my case the ghost repeat vanished. But a few micro dots can be seen if you take a very very close look. Good luck for all who may have this issue.
