Why is our EuroCave DUO wine cooler model D264 freezing 1/4 inch of ice on back wall inside cooler?

Most cases of ice build up can be traced to seals that leak humid air into the cooler. Check the door seal carefully using a fresh $1 bill. The bill should not pull out easily when the door is closed. If the unit has a self defrost feature it it is not coming on. Ice buildup inside a wine cooler is very rare. The cooler box should not reach 32deg in normal operation. Does the unit seem to run continuously?

I have a 98 Audi a4 quattro 2 8 liter Im replacing the oil cooler seal Can I remove the threaded tube the oil cooler is mounted to and if so how can I do it safely and easy without tearing up the threads...

You sure can!...the tube is not very tight. The threads can be damaged by a pair of pliers that need to be used to remove it. Soooo wrap tube with an old belt or thick rag....use the pliers to remove the tube...and voila! she is out and ready to do the seal..insure you place the seal in the groove on the cooler in the proper orientation..there are two small tabs that go over two protrusions on the cooler...tighten the nut snug...don't over do it...it will damage the cooler...

Is Frigidaire Chest Freezer, Model AFFC1526DW1 frost free?

normally, most freezers will accumulate frost . it can't really be helped. however , the amount of frost can be controlled as it is basically a by-product of three things . 1.how often you open the door, 2.how well the door seals, and finally, 3.how well the food is sealed before it is frozen.

Cross bar is too thick. the factory extension bolts are too long. what size (dia and # of threads) are these bolts?

I took the black factory bolts to Home Depot to determine what size was required but they didn't stock the required size. (Factory: 2 x 6mm-1.0 x 50 mm plus 2 x 6mm-1.0 x 60 mm replacements needed to be at least 5mm longer). I then went to Lowe's and they had them, but only zinc plated. I would have preferred stainless steel.

Tip: Depending on how thick your cross bars are, you can save a little by buying only two 65mm long bolts to replace the factory 60 mm bolts, and use those to replace the factory 50mm long bolts.

I'm getting ice build up at the top of my Amana upright freeze.

This means the seal at the top is not tight and air is leaking in.

There are 3 possible fixes:
1. Loosen and Rehang the door so that a piece of cash-register receipt paper cannot easily be pulled thru the seal when the door is closed (all the way around) get someone to help. Dont take the door hinge screws out, just loosen them, push the door in to compress seal and tighten them again

2. Replace the seal ($12-30.00) - Take make, model and serial number of the appliance with you to eliminate a return trip.

3/ Treat with Armor All to make gasket seal soft again (2-3x) and give it a wipe all the way around with Vaseline.
