Hi .combi boiler run out of fuel.refilled and bled run finefor the morning then locked out .pressed reset orange light went out but nothing happend light back on but boiler not working paul

its not definately the pcb. change the detection sensor first( £3.20p). if this doesnt fix a01 fault then change the main pcb(£145).

Pressure is ok? at 1 bar or above
I think on this one there should be a reset button [red] on the left hand top of the casing - or lower the control panel [ phillips screw on each side] and the button is on the left of the base plate. Press this and try the heating.or hot tap
P.S. if you're on a prepayment meter check you have gas.

Try a power reset. Fully disconnect power to it for 15 minutes. Then try again.

It does appear to be a known fault. If that doesn't fix it, you will need a gas certified heating technician.

My ideal logic combi 30+ is saying ignition lockout and my radiatiors arent heating up as well as my water not turning hot. How can i fix this please?
Lockout is a safety feature. Usually a latching condition and needs to be investigated rather than blindly reset. (The Combi has a bit more intelligence.) With the ignition locked out, you can't hi-fire the boiler, so no hot water of either type. The 'L' should also show a code number - check your user manual (google) for more guidance.

I've had a lockout on a non-combi: it was caused by lack of circulation of central heating water through the boiler.... The system boiled and the trip tripped. The pump WAS running, but wear in a valve actuator resulted in the valve feedback saying valve open while it was physically shut.

He may have bled the lines but did he also bleed the fuel filter as well. All oil tanks have an oil filter in them, sometimes two. He could hav bleed the lines but still had some residual air in the line, the filter, or somewhere else along the supplu side. I"m sure if you call and explain the situation they will come and rebleed the rest of the air out of the system,especially if you're a regular customer. Also have them check the tank fuel filter, if it's clogged that too would keep oil from getting to the burners.

I've got a Alpha 240 e combi boiler..... Everything seems to be wor,kin ok but it won't start the ignition sequence .
could be air presure switch which tells pcb that fan is working and would then bring inn ignition system then main gas valve.Would suggest getting gas engineer in.pommie engineer

Combi boiler problem
most have an overrun built in for a few minutes. if much longer have you got a room thermostat anywhere to turn down
If it never turns off check the switch which controls ON/TIMED/OFF and turn to timed or off. if it still continues on timed then it's the timer
