This is correct because if you set it to certin temp. when it reaches that temp. it will shut down to prevent over cooling when the temp in the room goes up a preset amount 2-5 deg.(preset by manafatuer) the unit should go back on to drop the temp. to your set temp. Auto works the same way, where just on will cool to the temp the system can cool efficently.

May be pressure related. They have a pressure sensor that stops the compressor if the pressure gets high. People sometimes make the mistake of adding too much when messing with the AC. Get a qualified mechanic that can work on AC and check the pressure to inspect it.

Engine not hot temperture red lines ac and heat stop until the hand come back down

Could be a faulty temp sensor. You should have the computer scanned for trouble codes and check the sensor operation.
Also make sure the radiator is full of coolant.

The N611 will flash 3 times as an AC heater fault. If your AC heaters are ohming out properly (48 ohms of resistance), then you have a bad power board. If the AC heaters are not showing around 48 ohms of resistance, replace the AC heater. It's going to be one of the two. Here is an article on it:

Cooling fans only come on when ac is on what could be the problem

there is a fan control switch in the cooling system. since both fans run with a/c on, this is most likely your problem. you can check the fan relay and see if the switch is supplying ground to activate relay.

With AC on cold, Drivers air full hot & passenger side full Cold

that is a good possibilty, but before I pulled the trigger I would try this first. unhook the battery for 5 minutes, rehook it, now turn the key on, wait for 2 minutes, now start the truck and see if the doors now work. sometimes this works, its worth a try.

Check to see if there is a short between the green wire and the red wire. Green is the fan control wire for AC. Sounds like some wires may be touching. How did the old t-stat get fried?
