Hey dale. Sounds like either the integrated remote pack inside the fan housing might be bad, or the reversal switch part. If it has a switch on the fan housing to change it from forward and reverse, you could try going to a hardware store and replacing that switch. If that doesn't work, then it is probably a bad remote receiver pack iside the fan, it will be a bigger, probably black little box. If this is the case, your better off getting a new fan, as it will cost about the same. If your fan doesn't have a little switch to change blade direction, 9 out of 10 times it is the receiver pack. If your fan does have a switch for fan direction, there is a good chance it is a bad switch. It could also be both. After 10 years with the fan, you might seriously want to consider purchasing a new fan.
I realize that this is an old post. However, the best solution is to replace the receiver with 3 or 4 speed wire harness, which includes the capacitor, fan speed switch, forward/reverse switch and female plug for $15 as of today's writing. While you may be able to find a 85112-04 replacement receiver, I found them to be an expensive solution at $80. In addition, there is no telling how long the replacement receiver would last. To purchase a 4 speed wire harness for this Hunter fan, they can be ordered from Casablanca. Casablanca you say? Yes! Casablanca is a subsidiary of Hunter Fans. This 4 speed wire harness, part number K016501H01, is standard in many Hunter and Casablanca fans. Hopefully this will help someone looking for a low-cost solution to replacing the fan. most of my fan controls have done this to me. you know the reciever is working cuz the fan works fine. you need to dis assemble the remote completely and clean the contacts for the light button. mine are two small black dots that seem to keep getting slimey and wont work till i clean them, then all works like brand new again.
My Diplomat Oven Heating element (ELEHY6075) stopped working with the FAN ON combination. I replaced it with a new one and it still does not work with the FAN option. All other combinations do work. What can I do?
unplug the unit and unscrew the bulbs. put 2 new in if they still dont work then you may have fried the control. there are usually no fuses between the control and light/fan. well i never saw a fuse between the 2.
The problem appears, at least in part, to the door latch circuitry which cannot be serviced by the owner. If the unit is still in warranty, call GE customer care. If not, replacing the unit is your best bet. I just bought a new GE 1100 watt oven with great features for less than $100 If the door dosen't latch correctly, you could be exposed to dangerous microwave energy.
