Not worth attempting to fix and that is the reason it was tossed.

What would cause my jvc tv have a green tint

It sounds like you can have optical engine issue. That's if green tint was show up very gradually, until one day it really caught your attention.Normally some parts of the screen more green than other. It should get progressively worse. To solve this issue optical engine have to be replaced. It is pretty expensive repair if your TV is out of the warranty.
In case if tint appeared suddenly in one moment - you can try to check component cable connection on the back of your TV if you are using one ( green, blue and red colored). Sometimes it's loose or after disconnection people reconnecting it in wrong way.
Experienced tech will determine if optical engine is bad by running test patterns in special service mode. If green tint present on Grey scale - optical engine is bad.
Sorry for bad news.
Regards.
Russ.

My av48wp34

The AV48WP34 is a lightbox PTV and therein could be your problem with the audio. If the box was removed for testing in the convergence it's possible that not all the jumpers are tight. Look at connection between pin 12 of T921 and K935 jumper for your 28v source I've made that mistake in this chassis before.
As to your convergemce problem it's most likely an amp failure. That unit takes two STK392-110 Sanyo amps and both should be replaced. On this unit convergence is easy through the front of the TV grill. The entire module can be removed for replacing the amps making installation a breeze if you're any good at soldering.
I'd recommend Acme for the amps http://www.acme-sales.net that way you won't get some chinnese knock-off... And you might even want to consider upgrading the amps to some STK392-150's (greater amperage) for greater reliability.

65 in.JVC bad picture

You may have a convergence problem that means, there may be convergence ic's bad or related components.
If you know something about tv's, try checking things out.
You can get a repair manual from websites to download.
If you do not normally fix tv's the best thing is to call a tv repair technician.

Screen Green Tint

Turn down your color and see if the screen has a normal black & white screen. If it doesn't then the CRT is bad (picture tube). If it is black & White then you have a either lost your red or blue. That problem will be in your video driver circuit of which a service center can handle.

Green Tint on half of the screen

This is most likely a defect in the optical unit (about $1500.00 part). If out of warranty probably will just have to live with it. Those op units are also hard to get.

JVC AV-56WP74 projection TV green sagging and can not be adjusted out.

The convergence amps need to be replaced. If you're having a shop do this call around and ask what they charge for repairing the convergence. If you're doing this repair this set uses two stk392-110 Sanyo built amps. You will also need to test and possibly replace one or more of the 1.5 ohm feed resistors in that circuit.
If you're doing this at component level try Acme in Florida for amps and resistors: 1-800-575-9833 http://www.acme-sales.net/index.shtml and if you're doing this at modular level send it to PTS http://www.ptscorp.com/ 1-800-844-7871
Good luck!
