the motor is over heating.make sure the filters are clean and the dirt cupo is empty and there are no cloggs in the hose or the intake.theres a black tube that runs up the back and empties into the dirt cup.you can take a coat hanger with a hook on the end and stick it down the tube to clear it out in case theres something in there.clean the filter and put it back in make sure the filter is dry first.or you can try it without the filter just to see if it works
