Cobra alarm 7928 charged car battery car will turnover but will not fire up

Check for a reset button for the alarm under the dash.

Try disco extinga the battery, then with the battery disconnected turn the ignition on. Then with the ignition on connect your battery again. I think it gas to do with the memory of your car compu.

We do not have info on aftermarket systems. Suggest you remove it completely and install a quality system.

This sounds like the battery may be weak or a bad connection. I would start by have the battery checked or try jump starting the car, try jumpimg it and see if that will make it start, if it starts then you may have a charging or battery problem, seeeing that this car is over 10yrs old and if the battery is the same one that came with the car then i would have to think you may have a bad battery. good day

If the battery is fully charged and you have good connetions, sounds like an ignition timing problem. If the timing is too advanced, teh plugs will fire before the piston is high enough in the travel and when it fires will try to turn the engine over backwards. Check to be sure the firing order is correct and you didn't mix up any plug wires since having some firing at the wrong time will do the same thing. Stock engines will have the firing order cast into the intake manifold for easy reference.

try taking key get out of car lock all doors a manually open locks you alarm is engaged try shutting it off that way may be battery in alarm is no good

if you took the battery off the car to charge it up or it was realy flat then its the car alarm its lost its memory and is still "set on" reset the alarm and then try starting it up,,,all should be working ok then,,,if you leave the car standing for a long time,, buy yourself a solar charger,,, hook it to the car and that will keep the battery charged up,,,,, for free!!!!!!!!!

i put a new battery on my car and now the alarm will not work

check if the switch in the bonet is damaged (sometimes working under the bonet you could damage the switch and miss it)installing a new battery should not affect the alarm
