I can not find the button rfd in the manual i downloaded. What does it do

I have a singer model 478 it has a button I don't have in the manual . It turns from rfd do you know what it does.I have never used the machine just cleaned and oiled it.

Instruction Manuals (look at pages 2-4. You should find what the button does. Not sure, I'm guessing it may be the reverse button.
