Question about Cisco 857W (882658019555) Router
I am having trouble setting up a new Cisco 857W wireless router.
My SBS2003 network uses the IP 192.168.20.xxx
I managed to use the supplied software to reset the IP of the router to use 220.127.116.11 but now I cannot accesss through ethernet at all.
I have tried using 18.104.22.168 and also 10.10.10.1 which was the original IP.
I do not want to mess with the IP and DNS on the SBS server so I wanted to set the Cisco to the same subnet as the server.
Shouldn't this be possible?
After several attempts to log in I decided to reset the router switching it off the straight after switchinf it on I pressed the reset button.
Does it matter which device acts as DHCP server as I think our AVAYA IP phone system may be acting as DHCP server (I'm not sure!).
Obviously I am new to Cisco but would appreciate any suggestions offered.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
