Do these mowers have built-in alternators to recharge the battery?

what engine is on the mower? you cant fix a problem unless you know what you are working on.usualy it's around the flywheel, maybe outside maybe under the flywheel.

Need Make/Model/Year/Engine Model/Deck Size, and hours on meter if you have one. A short description of the events preceding the beginning of the problem is also helpful.

Yes they have a charging system, not like a car but a charging system one the less. as i said before either under or around the flywheel. some newer mowers also have an electronic regulator.

Unfortunately no. and it's a shame that none of us that think of luxuries like that are qualified to work for troy bilt or any other lawn tractor company

My belt wnat stay on my 42 inch cut troy bilt riding lawn mower, why?

Usually, it's because the belt's worn out. Over a period of time, they stretch and wear against the pullys. I recently replaced one after it came off several times. Try as I might, I couldn't see anything wrong with the belt. I changed it anyway, and it's run fine ever since!!
    Good luck! --W/D--
