Boost phones are usually unlocked with software. you can check here

remember you can only unlock boost phones for nextel,, not att , not verizon, etc

I am tyring to unlock my nextel i880 but do not have the code. Trying to use it with tmobil my new carrier.

You will not be able to use this phone. The I880 runs off the Nextel (IDEN) Network and T-Mobile uses GSM. Its like asking the FM radio in your car to pickup SAT radio. Its not compatable. Their is really no reasonable way to make this work either. It would require you to replace the radion unit in the phone and then reflash the software to work with T-Mobile.
