Does not read my Memory stick any more

Here a few weeks ago my computer stopped reading my sony Memory Stick Pro. I used to get a "download" message box to download my pics...
When I put in the memory stick now the light is green next to the slot, however it is not recognized my computer, I have tried to search for it on my pc but no luck. I downloaded the "Summer 2006 Original NVIDIA Chipset Drivers" on the HP homepage, however I'm not sure if I'm on the right patch, and where in the Device Manager to install this.
Hope someone can help me.

Re: Does not read my Memory stick any more

Hello Cbaltzer,

Try to use in another PC, your memory stick, and see if work, if so, perhaps it is a problem with your other PC, or the USB port, see if is 2.0 or 1.0 USB compatible.
good luck

Problems loading image files onto memory stick pro duo

You probably emptied the memory stick in the download, if the OS sees the memory stick as a removable device then a simple drag and drop will put a copy of the files back on the stick. If MS not see by OS then you cannot get them back on. Trick is that the operating system must see the memory stick as a device to exchange data. Some programs allow retrevial but do not make provision for storing.

Ejecting Memory Stick Pro Duo card out of notebook card reader

Hi, the memory Stick Pro Duo card is (micro), half size as you have noticed you need to buy an SD adapter card. You put your Pro Duo card into the SD card & than put it into your card reader.
Once you see the SD adapter card on the web site you'll understand. You can buy this at a local BestBuy. Most web sites sell the adapter as a combo, you'll get a micro card & adapter.
Click the link below.
Look at SanDisk 2GB Ultra II Memory Stick PRO Duo w/Adapter
& you will understand.
