The heater continues to shut down or reset. I have cleaned both pool skimmers so that it doesn't restrict the flow and backwashed for max filtering.

Sounds like the high limit switch. Try replacing and lower your water temp a little. also check for flame roll out from the burner assembly.

My pump is running and water is returning to the pool but there is no suction.

Are you saying there is 'no suction' or there is 'little suction'? If your pump is running and water is going back to the pool, that water is coming from somewhere ... probably being pulled from the pool. Is this a new pool? If not, did it operate properly last year? Are you getting air into your system?

You don't say much about your pool ... is the suction line attrached to a skimmer? Two skimmers? Two skimmers and a bottom drain? Attached to the bottom drain? I don't understand why you are reporting no suction since there is a discharge ... Is this pool in the ground or above ground? Do you have one circulator pump or do you have multiple pumps? If you have two skimmers and are trying to vacuum, close the shutter on the other skimmer or put a plug into it. Make sure the plug is the proper size, you don't want to get the plug pulled into the system!

Perhaps there is not enough suction for you to vacuum? If your suction is attached to several points in your pool, can you cut back on the other ports? For example, if you are drawing from the bottom and a skimmer, can you shut the bottom drain off?

Have you checked your impeller for hair clogging? What about your filter, if sand, have you back washed? What is your discharge pressure? If DE, how is the DE doing? Might it be due for a change? If a cartridge filter, is your cartridge clean? Of course dirty filters will cause high pressure and poor flow of water. If your impeller is clogged with hair, that will impede the flow of water.

Fill in some of thedetails and I will continue to try to assist you. Thank you for your interest in FixYa.com

I have a Lochinvar pool heater that on the dispaly is showing Air Pressure Switch Open. I looked at the manual and it talks about air flow from the supply vent and exhaust vent. Than it says about...

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

Try this before taking anything apart to far:

The pressure switch is located in the front header, behind the

upper side jacket panel, above the water connections. When

required, the pressure switch can be reset with the following

procedure:

1. Clean filter and skimmer.

2. Start filter pump.

3. Set digital thermostat to highest setting.

4. Turn the adjustment knob on the pressure switch clockwise

until the combustion air fan in the front control panel turns

off. Fan will not turn off if system pressure exceeds 5 PSI.

5. Slowly turn the adjustment knob counter-clockwise until the

combustion air fan turns on. Turn knob an additional ¼ turn

counter-clockwise.

6. Turn filter pump off and on several times. The heater should

shut down immediately when the pump stops.

7. If the heater does not shut down immediately as the filter

pump stops, repeat steps 4, 5 and 6 until proper operation

is achieved.
8. Reset thermostat to desired temperature setting.

If after doing all of the above you still have the problem.... you can remove the switch and check for debris in the water passages. If you find debris remove it, reinstall the switch and repeat steps above.

- Still have the problem... Replace the switch.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Polaris won't move and seems to be nose down. The tail is moving but thats it. also when i bring the tail out of the water, it doesn;t have much water pressure shooting out.

Check the pool cleaners filter screen in the in-line filter and clean, if necessary.Clean the skimmer basket, pump basket, and pool filter. If one of these is full or clogged, it could be weighing part of the cleaner down. Check all of the hoses, connections, and swivels for leaks that could cause loss of
water pressure. Finally, make sure that your wheel RPM is set correctly (between 28-30 RPM)

Heater starts and runs for several minutes and then turns off

Since the unit runs for a couple minutes, I would first check for proper water flow. Find the pressure switch. It is usually round with two wire terminals and a copper/metal tube attached to it. With the wires attached, use a jumper wire to bypass the switch. If it runs longer check for flow problems.. (WARNING don't jump the switch for too long!!! Just enough time to see if the run cycle improves). Clean all the skimmers baskets, pump basket, backwash the filter (if a cartridge filter clean the filters). Try firing the heater again. If it still shuts down, replace the pressure switch. I never recommend adjusting it. Adjusting it too low can damage your heater and/or cause injury.

The pool navigator has very low pressure, why?

if you have good flow coming from your jets then make sure that youve narrowed down what the pump is pulling... i.e: shut off some valves like your main drain and skimmer line if possible so the vacuum gets more attention from the pump....
if you have bad flow ... try cleaning your filter

Little to no heat where is the filter i want to see if it needs to be cleaned?

Their is no filter on the heater, your pool filter. If it is dirty your flow rate will go down and without enough flow the heater would overheat, but for a pressure switch in your heater. So if you clean your baskets, (pump and skimmer) and clean your filter this may help. Without more info this is all I can tell you.Hope this helps.

High pressure, and heater noise

I am not sure if you have solved this issue, or not, but if the PSI on the gauge is high then the problem may not be the heater. When you have the system turned on, and the PSI is reading higher than normal, just the flow of water coming out your return lines. If the flow is normal, like when you clean your filter, then see if you have a way to re-route the water so it bypasses the heater. If the PSI on gauge drops, then the issue is in the heater.

If the flow of water is slower than normal, with the PSI reading high, then you have a blockage somewhere in the system. It could be something simple like removing debris from skimmer and pump backets, to time to backwash, or clean, the filter.

If the flow of water is really hard and fast, with the PSI high as well, then you have too much water going through the system and need to slow it down.

Low pressure flashes when i try to turn on the heater

check strainer and skimmer for excess debris that will cause low flow to heater thus not engaging pressure switch.make sure filter is clean.if all of these check out ,take continuity reading on pressure switch.if no continuity, try to adjust pressure switch if it wont adjust ,its faulty.take extreme caution when adjusting make htr will shut down when pump goes off
