Use a burning program such as Nero and make it bootable... You can also try to combine the programs together into a file/image and make it a .iso file, then burn the .iso file to a DVD.

Hope this helps.... if not clarify and I will try to help you again.

Boot up your computer with using a linux live-cd/dvd manjaro fedora puppy or other technical distro to start up what will have gparted and or the kde partition manager on it that does do everything unmounted to that will allways enable all necessary things to replace or resize partitions , beware backup first always the distro in any way to be safe with the beginning to experiments. but there are several kind of tools and all open source is free , here you see a part of the kde partition manager and here is to see that will you rezise a partition that it just not must be mounted , thats the most important step to get a working menu by changing partitions that will forget. but it must first are recognized before to choose the right drive partition manager is also good usable for Microsoft or Beos and several other partition cluster arts of other unix systems.
the live dvd will work fully from out the memory of your system thats why it cost many more time for handlings. whats also be better to resize partitions is most time to delete an 3 partition system from the right the third partition (if its handling mounting active partitions to resize up to the right site its differs how to boot with a bootmanager was configured after resizing from the middle partition the find theright cluster out.resize from the left site can made bootproblems, if you not can handle

The best way to format/manage hdd from any computer is to burn Gnome Partition Live CD to cd or dvd or usb flash drive and boot it on the system where your HDD is.

Convert ntfs to fat32

Hi,

First of all delete the partition that you wish to convert. This is done by going into Disk Management: right click on My Computer > Manage > Disk Management, which is found under the Storage section. Right click the partition you wish to remove, and click Delete Volume This will erase the partition. Once you have done this, you must re-create the partition. This is done by right clicking on an unallocated region of a disk, and selecting Create Partition. Then click Create Logical Drive. Bear in mind that Windows cannot format a FAT32 partition that is any larger than 32GB. This is the case because FAT32 is terribly inefficient on volumes that are larger than 32GB: fragmentation becomes a serious problem.

Or you can use partition magic software to convert it.

I have an acer aspire 5610 laptop it had windows xp media center addition dual partitioned with ubuntu i decided that i wanted to start over so i used DBAN to erase the drives and i then used a ubuntu...

You can use something like Super Fdisk to delete all partitions on your drive. Sometime Linux will not see a Windows partition and vice versa. You can find Super FDisk here:
http://www.ptdd.com/manual2.htm
You can also use something like Winternals boot manager.

Deleted partition, recovered files but drive is not shown

do u have windows installed?
if u do, go to administrative tools, devise managment, select disk managment, your partition should be listed there, with the format option when u right click on it.
if u dont have windows, u need to get a live cd, you can use linux live cds (puppy for biginers), and use gparted to format the partiton, or if you are not familior with linux, you can use winpe mini cd, it haves hirens boot disk with many tools dedicated for partitioning. gd luck

I have limpus on my acer aspire 5542 note book now i want to install win xp and ubuntu in it but it is showing error on installing win xp .pls help me out

On laptops and notebooks it is not advisable to have dual OS as Windows does not tolerate any other OS along with it. If you can partition the disk (not so easy a task), then you can install Ubuntu on the second partition. While if you can not partition the HDD, then secure professional help. If even that is not possible then I suggest download Knoppix from www.knoppix.com and burn a live CD. Live CD is a bootable CD that runs the OS. Knoppix is free to download and is not too different from Ubuntu.
Just remember that IF you do manage to partition the HDD then you must install Windows first and then Ubuntu as the latter is capable of co-exsisting with other OSes and not Windows. If you install Windows later than it will overwrite the boot sector and render Ubuntu unusable.

Windows doesn't recognize recovery partition after os reinstall

The issue you are having involves using multiple systems,...If your emachine came with vistan and you installed xp, you voided your warranty status...However remove your dual boot and stick to vista if you wanna keep your restore partition working properly.....On a side note theres usually conflict with running OEM OS's on dual boot...typically it doesnt work and if it does it doesnt work like you want it to! so here is what you can do..Call Emachine up and fib to them a bit (just alittle) tell them that you cought a nasty bug and it messed with your restore partition and now you cant restore your pc....request the factory programing discs (if you ask nicely they'll hook you up 99.99% of the time) you get the discs so you can reprogram the pc to factory spec if you ever wanted to. Now use a retail version of vista and a retail version of xp. and create your dual boot, feel free to remove your restore partition if you want (cause you have the factory programing discs if you wanna go back to stock stuff YAY) I hope this helps!

My acer laptop has 160 gig memory but i can only use 80 how do i make it all available

Most likely, your partitions are simply sized wrong. If you have Windows Vista go to:
Control Panel>System and Maintenance>Administrative Tools>Computer Management

In Computer Management look at the list on the left and click on storage and go to Disk Management and look to see if the entire disk is partitioned. I will talk about what to do if there are two partitions in a moment, but for now, lets assume that you have an 80GB Windows partition and around 70GB of empty space.

Right click on the Windows partition and click expand and simply follow the instructions in the Wizard.

Now, lets say there is a partition sitting there. Most likely, if it's there, you're using it without noticing that you are. Make sure there is nothing on it. If the partition is empty, right click and delete it and follow the instructions I provided above.

Now, if you have Windows XP... well I'll just wait for your feedback because this explanation is even longer.
