Lexmark series 2480 won't scan (by 4 users)

Help!
I have no technical abilites!

I have used the disk to instal the software and can print fine, but have just tried to scan an image and...nothing. Tried installing the software again and it now says: 'Installation Error Windows Vista not supported' how can that be when it worked intially?

Same deal worked before but now scan is dead ,prints fine.....

if your still under warranty take it backI have had the same issues for few months. I keep uninstalling and re installing the program.
