Question about Bose Audio Players & Recorders
The laser lens on the optical pickup is dirty or scratched. to clean: buy a disk cleaner and use it per instructions. if it doesn't help, you can do it manually. remove the top, remove the top off of the disk assembly (you may have to remove the whole assembly first) until you see the lens. be careful with the cables and wires. use a lint-free swab (not a q-tip and not your finger), gently wipe off the lens. replace the covers and test. if it still doesn't work, it may be scratched or damaged. in which case, it needs to be replaced.
