Lost driver cd

This isn't a solution, it's backing that guy up, the Netopia modem he's talking about DOES need the driver or else it doesn't even recognized as hooked up through ethernet or USB both. The lights don't even flash red. So, unfortunately, the idiotic company decided it would be a good idea to make you need a driver for a DSL modem that should just be plug-and-play but isn't. In short terms, it seems, they just weren't thinking. Since I myself have lost my CD and am looking for the drivers, after going through troubleshoot, and all that fun junk myself, I know this as fact. ^_^ However, if someone could help out two guys who were entirely gipped on software that'd be nice.

Normally, routers, as separate devices, do not require installation of drivers.. Drivers allow hardware to 'talk' to software.. as a separate device, routers are installed in a network to allow routing across subnets.. Unless you are speaking of router software, like Vyatta, then I have to think that you need something other than drivers..

Perhaps you could illuminate the problem for us so we could suggest what you really need here?

Now, if you are just 'installing' a router, then we need to know the manufacturer and model.. If a consumer grade router, like Linksys, then it is pretty much plug and play. If Cisco, then it is a whole other matter, and you will need to get into the CLI to configure it.. This is not a simple matter, and not something that I could just write a solution for here....
