If you don't know what your issue is... you could be
forcing whatever pizza or pudding problem DEEPER
into those switches and contacts.
I would encourage you to shop in eBay for an
"OEM" (original equipment manufacturer) radio...
Then you can take your existing radio out for
a FULL INSPECTION and power-off cleaning
and DRYING (at your leisure (or not))...On eBay pay
close attention to the DESCRIPTION... Seller
FEEDBACK and SHIPPING COSTS.
eBay has become quite protective of their
BUYERS (if you push it... to RESOLUTION).
If you SELLER represents in good condition or
works fine... and your find our INSIDE 30 DAYS
the radio has been MISSREPRESENTED...
YOU GET YOU $$$ BACK...

Try a qtip and cleaner to get the dirt and what ever the kids had on there hands off the buttons.

You're in big trouble here.
At the very least, the tank will have to be drained and the fuel lines flushed and bled. At worst your injectors have been burnt and require replacement, not to mention a complete engine overhaul.
I strongly suggest you contact a lawyer. This could very well be a more expensive repair than the vehicle is worth.
