Question about HP Compaq Presario V2000 Notebook
Hi, every time i turn on my computer, the Compaq logo shows up for 2 seconds, and then, it beeps twice and the screen displays: "press F1 to resume, F2 to setup. I pressed the buttons, but i dint work! help!
Does F2 take you to BIOS? If not post back... Also Esc will or should take you to boot options. Try booting from Optical drive here..

You need to provide more information.
Your computer must have displayed some other information on the screen, copy them and post back here for proper diagnosis and advise.

When u turn on pc what do u see.usually have message bottom left hand screen indicating what key to press to enter setup.
this key is for bios setup .the f 2 key you are refering to is to setup os(windows)but if hd has error you cant setup or resume.
Its not too bad and easily fixed but I need to know what is on screen on power up.
the fault is in hd and only needs os reinstalling or repairing.
2 beeps means system cant find hd(os)
