Go to page 2-30 section 2.4.5 in your manual.
If you are using the onboard graphics for your display set this to [PCI]. If you are using the PCI-E video card, set the bios to [PCI-E]. Save & exit the bios. You should have display after the system re-boots. If you still have no display & you are 100% sure your monitor functions than the video controller on the board is bad. This can not be repaired.

Good luck!

Hello Sir,

I think you can better change your RAM and check it whether you get it working properly. This looks like a Problem in your RAM. Check it and let me know if the problem persists.

Asus P5N-E SLI Motherboard and Ethernet Controller Problem

Had a similar problem with P5ne-sli motherboard, Intel Q6600 cpu, Nvidia GTS 8800 video card. One day the ethernet just stopped working, but it was working... It would connect to my network but would see "limited or no connectivity" in the taskbar. Went into BIOS and looked at the signals and for some reason only 4 of the 8 signals were getting a reading. Figured a power spike had fried my onboasrd ethenet card. Switched to an old PCI ethernet card... after two years I was doing a fresh install, of XP and for shits and giggles I just plugged the ethernet cord into the onboard with the PCI ethernet card removed. When windows went to validate it detected and installed my onboard ethernet...validated then proceeded to update windows. Over a year later it still works.
Never bothered to update BIOS until last month and that was only to fix the long boot time with ATI 5770 video card.
Willing to bet that resetting your BIOS will fix the problem for you. Just unplug computer, remove battery, attempt power up to clear any juice still in the system. Replace battery and boot up computer...
Also removed a DIMM that went bad around the same time. May have been a factor so try testing your RAM.

P5N-SLI

HI stukove2000,
What is the 5200 stand for?
Here is Asus approved CPU list link for the P5N-E SLI MB:
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=P5N-E%20SLI

The Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 5-5-5-15, should work just fine on the Asus MB.
Here is an expanded approved Qualified Venders List from Asus.
http://www.asus.com/999/download/products/1474/1474_10.pdf
You can also see a smaller QVL list in the manual on page 1-18 & 1-19.
The QVL insures total compatibility with the motherboard.

The NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT will run just fine on the Asus MB. Just make sure your power supply is no less than 500W. A 600W or 650W is preferred.

Here is a write up of the Asus mother board: http://www.techspot.com/review/43-asus-p5n-e-sli/
Asus FAQ's of the P5N-E SLI. Good place to check questions about the board.

Good luck stukove2000!
Any more questions?

Still didn't work

You have to ensure *********** board is having PCI Express slot or AGP slot for fitting graphics card. if *********** board does not have then you cant use it. normal slot is not supporting it.

connect your monitor video card cab le to newly fitted video output not on motherboard.

ASUS P5N-E SLI AND A GF7600 ..BOOTING PROBLEMS ..CORRUPTS

Hi, trying to boot from your old drives is the problem.
The Boot sequence for your new board are different from the ol one. Your sequence to get your system going is to load the mobo drivers first, then run your XP disk again and at the second prompt select REPAIR this will run the same as a normal install but should save your existing data and settings.
One problem you may have is activating XP as Microsoft do not approve of multi installs and the new board will show as a different computer.
