My parents have this device for about 1.5 years, but it was operated 3-4 times only!!! Recently I brought some DVD-RW with pictures on it, but device refused to read it. Actually, the device was powered on, the noise of spinning disk got out, but always got "no disk" message. I tried over and over again. I even tried delicately to hit it several times - nothing. I tried another DVD disk - the same result.
After a couple days I tried to resolve the problem once again - I was surprised to find out that the device still reading and playing CD disks (music or video), however not accepts any type of DVD disk (regular or rewritable).

- Played once, then just keeps saying bad disc or no disc. Cleaned & checked all connections. Problem remains. - GuestJan 05, 2009
- My iLO DVDR05 DVD Recorder won't bring up the screen to delete the DVD to record on i have used the same DVDS for a long time and now it just brings up No Disk and if i put in other disks it will say that either they are Bad disks or No Disk once in a bluemoon it will read a disk. Is there anything i can do i already cleaned it everything works on it just refuses to get DVD's ready to burn on. - i have the same problem with my apex 3800 it reads no disc but if you eject the dvd and put it back in some time it will load the dvd- nandhay
