Hi there,

Better try first to use the print head cleaning.

You can find this tools on the software / driver installed on your computer. There you have a different option to do a maintenance care on your printer.

Hope this initial info helps.

Just let me know

reset the printer and reboot your pc.

now do again the head cleaning, you have to do this on the maintenance tools installed on your computer, not directly pressing the button on your printer..

you can find it on the printer & faxes >>> right click on the printer you use>>> select prooperties>> on the maintenance tab you can find what I mean.

yes. your printer should respond and the ink carriage should move..

if there was no activity on the printer check the connections from printer to computer. unplug the printer cable and connect it again, let your PC detect the printer was installed.

This means that your printer was not detected or not recognized on your PC, there could be a problem on communicating with the printer, try to uninstall all connections, reboot your pc and do the process of installing your printer.

This can be a printer problem, it will not or could not communicate anymore with your PC. It's better to test check it by connecting it on other PC, so that we will know if the printer was broke and need to be service.

Hi, the magenta ink won't work on my printer hp office jet pro k8600. I have replaced it with a new one and even though is shows that it's full on the ink levels it won't print it at all, I have tried all...

Materials needed: New empty syringe (big one) Gloves (to protect your hands fromink) Alcohol Paper tissue (to clean the excessink) Empty Plastic bottle (Here you putthe ink from the syringe) Important: Ensure that you have put new Magentaink cartridge to HP K8600. Ensure that the printhead arerecognized by the printer or no light alarms. Instruction: Press the Power button to turn onthe printer. Test print in microsoft excel with4 color black/yellow and cyan/magenta. If magenta only is missing means youhave clogged problem from the host. Wear your globes, prepare thematerials needed. Open the top cover. Press and hold the Resume buttonuntil the carriage moves to the left. CAUTION: Be careful not to proceed until the carriage is on the left sideof the printer. If the carriage does not move to the left automatically, turnthe printer off and back on and then try holding down the Resume button again. The printhead can be damaged if the carriage is not all the way to the left forinstallation. Lift the printhead latch. Lift the handle of a printhead anduse it to pull the printhead magenta/cyan out of its slot. Put printhead in thepaper tissue upward. Your printer are still ON becarefull not to touch the flex copper circuit. Get your syringe, use this to pullthe ink from the nozzle cap ( see link picture) After the done the syringe method,Insert the printhead magenta/cyan into its color-coded slot. Press down firmly on the printheaduntil it snaps into place. Pull the printhead latch all theway forward, and then press down until the latch engages. Close the cover. The printer should align theprintheads automatically in a few minutes, printing an alignment page. Print a test with magenta coloronly, If it does not print, try to change the Printhead. This is the only solution I foundin my HP k8600 printing problem.christan_11_1.jpg

Have a brand new printer not used till now, cyan/magenta printhead light and the light for the power bottom both flashes, and a message appears (printhead problem - the following printhead has a problem...

this sounds simular to the photosmart C7250 ink system failure. which cause by air in the lines. and we fix this by reseting the printer and it redoes the cartridge installation. thus pushing all the air out.

My out of warranty l7680 will not print or photocopy in colour. Printhead status says Refilled supply Detected in printhead Black No/Yellow Yes Magenta Yes/Cyan Yes Detected in Printer Black No/Yellow Yes...

The error states that you are using non-HP cartridges for all colours. If black prints fine then you should replace the colour cartridges with genuine HP colour carts. You should be able to get a refund on the refills since they clearly do not work as intended.

Message "A printhead has a problem:magenta/cyan" is driving me nu

Hi Gran, I think these cartridges have print head built into them just change the cartridges that are reported magnta and cyan and i think it should rectify itself Often the simple solution is the one thst works and msany people look at all the hightech answers without considering the message that is given.
You can check the situatioin by removing the cartridge aqnd checking if there is what lkookjs like a circuit board with holes at the base of the cartridge This will be the print head. try wiping with alcohol first and then replace or put in a new one (only 1 first) and seeing iof its just the nesxt color being the problem

See ya

IP4300 only recognizes magenta OR cyan

1. Get compressed air
2. Run Printhead under HOT water, do not worry about contacts getting slightly wet.

3. Blow compressed air with straw attachment into screens where the cartridge nozzle sits on printhead. then let it sit and dry.

4. reinstall print test page

5. if this fails open paint/photoshop and print a page of the color that is not printing correctly. rinse and repeat until colors flow freely.

I have several ip4300s and I have yet to give up the ghost on a printer with a clog ujsing this method.
