The dishwasher won't drain. What can I do? There appears to be no obvious drain where I could use a snake to dislodge a clog.

I don't know if this will help, but it'll at least explain your problem a bit.

Your dishwasher doesn't drain like a sink or tub -- using gravity to let water go down a drain. Rather, it uses a pump to push water up a hose, generally connected to a sink or garbage disposal next to the dishwasher.

When dishwashers stop draining, it's usually not a clog, it's usually that the pump has stopped working.

When the dishwasher is trying to drain (in the middle of the wash cycle) does it make any unusual sounds?

Most likely it is your drain line located at the bottom of your pump which is causing the dishwasher not to drain.
Clear as much of the water out of the dishwasher as possible, use a shop vac if you have one.
Remove bottom cover from dishwasher and you will see the drain line at the bottom of the pump, remove the line, you will see a hard pipe were the line attaches remove this hard pipe with a set of pliers. Inside the hard line is a diaphragm , this is usually were rice and corn get lodged in the pipe. Remove debris and re-attach lines in reverse order.
Note: the hard line will have o-ring , inspect o-rings and replace if needed , this will ensure that there will be no leaks.
Hopefully this info helps you.

The hose detached from the garbage disposal. I re-attached it and now the water can't pump out of the bottom of the dishwasher

You have a clogged drain, remove the sink trap and use a plumber's snake to unstop the clog. Reattach the trap under the sink and disposal should drain. The pressure from the dishwasher pump more than likely caused the drain to slip loose, it's a drain, and it should not have any backpressure.

Clogged drain

You need a drain snake and run it through the drain. If your dishwasher isn't draining, try checking on the bottom of the dishwasher. It gets caught there a lot.

Vacuum hose is clogged. Clog is too far down to dislodge with a broom handle. I tried a hanger from the other end and it will not budge. What can I do?

You could probably dislodge it with a hand operated sewer snake used to clean drains if you have one available.

My Jenn-air refridgerator freezer section leaks water and builds up on bottom of freezer, defrosts then leaks out

sounds like you have a clogged defrost drain. when the unit self defrosts, the meltwater from the evaporator is supposed to go down a drain under evaporator, to a condensate pan underneath. when this drain gets clogged at any point, the water then drips into the freezer floor, freezes, eventually over fills the floor, and leaks onto kitchen floor. Do not try to snake out the drain, as it is plastic and usually not permanently attached, snaking can damage or dislodge the tubing, making problems worse. If you have a compressor, you can direct some compressed air into the drain to clear out any obstructions. Again, use caution against too much pressure, to avoid dislodging tube. Any reliable refrigerator repair service shouldnt charge much more than $100 to resolve this issue.

DISHWASHER DON'T DRAIN

Check the drain.

This could be a clogged drain line especially if the drain connects to a disposal. Some drains are semi-transparrent and a good light will show the clog. I use a long piece of tubing (snake) to dislodge the clog.

Also, if this does connect to a disposal make sure the dishwasher drain hose is elavated when it leaves the disposal so disposal debris will not get in the dishwasher drain line. You may have to tie the drain line to keep it elavated.

Maytag Dishwasher won't drain

on all dishwasher think of them as a simple gutter system. the water only has one drain. At the bottom, if the pump can't pump out the water, its simply a bad pump or a clogged drain hose. Food particle can clog the "drain screen", use a good quality shop vac, clean 'drain screen', remove drain hose and clean thoroughly. If the hose goes into your drain pipe, remove that and clean that really good with snake it its metal or a strong 1/2 zip tie if its plastic.

SUPER clogged drains

About all you could do is rent an electric snake and clear the main drain. The shower drain line (if you follow it) may also have a port to use a snake.

Good luck!

Dishwasher did not drain all the water

Your sink drain is clogged and the back pressure is not allowing the dishwasher to drain competely. Do not use a liquide drain cleaner, it will damage your disposal. take apart p-trap hopefully the clog is there, otherwise the line will need to be snaked.
